3 Year UPDATE
So its been 3 yrs since surgery and all of my initial concerns still stand. I gave it time to see if the swelling would go down as Dr. Reish mentioned he thinks I'm still overall swollen last time we spoke( Feb 22). He was really nice and welcomed me to come into the office if I'd like for him to take a look, however that's not been possible as I live out of State. I have plans to make it to NYC early-mid next yr and will make an apt to see if he can take a look as it will definitely be past the healing/swelling period given.
It seems as if my nose has a lot of indentation and swelling? in others making it look really uneven. I'm not sure if there was a collapse of any kind but when I run my fingers down my nose, one side seems to be lower than the other and that also happens to be on the side that the crack previously mentioned is at.
I have attached some Photos so you can see what it looks like now.
-on the upper bridge of my nose close to my eyes, there is one side that is more swollen than the opposite. This doesn't allow my glasses to sit on my face evenly
-there is a deeper indentation on the middle of my nose on the left side opposed to the other.
-the right side closer to the nostril looks thicker than the opposite side.
-nostrils look different
- the crack is still noticeable to the naked eye.
-nose looks a little curved from the top view
Overall, Dr. Reish was very nice and attentive, my results just weren't at all what I was expecting. I also still feel as if I'm unable to breathe properly. I will say that my side profile is nice and is the only thing I'm satisfied with.

1 Year Update
Hi! I got a few messages and comments asking for an update. I apologize for not updating sooner, I relocated and it's been a bit chaotic on my end.
I have since turned a yr post opp and frankly I'm still not satisfied with my nose. I'm not sure if the swelling will subside some more as Dr. Reish mentioned it can take anywhere from 1 to 1.5yrs to resolve. I'm holding on to hope.
The issues I previously had are still the same issues I have now. The crack I had previously discussed will obviously not resolve therefore I'm not expecting that to change. However, the unevenness of my nose is what truly bothers me still. The right side of my nose towards the tip/middle of my nose looks as if it's more wider/swollen compared the the opposite side. It looks as if the opposite side is more slim, which frankly of you look at my before photos that was an issue then too. This causes my nose to look crooked. Also, on the left side at the very top near my eye, my nose looks swollen and bulgy compared to the opposite side. When I informed Dr. Reish of this, he stated since some bones were broken there that side still has a lot of swelling causing it to look like that. At this point I'm leaning towards it being something else vs swelling. I'm not sure if the fact that that side of my nose is "lower" (see previous updates)opposed to the other side is makes it look more swollen.
I have not seen Dr. Reish since I moved to a diff state, however given that he stated it can take up to 1.5 yrs I will allow time to pass to have a true assessment of what possibly happened.
I'll attach some photos for you to see for yourself.

17 Week Update
Following up with an update of the latest on my nose for all of you who have messaged, commented and really anyone who's interested. I will be attaching updated photos of my swelling as well as photos of my concerns. The swelling has gone down some more, however my nose still doesn't look great, but definitely better. There is still some uneven swelling. The left upper side of my nose is more swollen than the right and the bottom right side is more swollen than my left.
I saw Dr. Reish last Tuesday, Dec 1st as I had a concern I really wanted to discuss with him in person. I had noticed before that on the left upper side of my nose where my dorsal hump was there is a pretty noticeable crack on my nasal bone. I first noticed this when my husband had taken some photos of me unexpectedly and I could see what looked like a bruise in that area. Since the swelling was still pretty prominent at that point I was not able to see it as much in the mirror or feel how big it actually was. As the swelling started to go down I started to notice that it's a pretty big crack considering the area. I still have prominent swelling in that area but I can already tell the crack runs from the top left side of my nasal bone all the way towards the eye socket. I'm not sure if this is actually cracked all the way through, but as far as I can see it runs pretty long and once the swelling resolves I'll know for sure how long this crack actually is. During my visit with Dr. Reish, he acknowledged that he was able to see it but he mentioned he normally tells patients that small things as such shouldn't be much of a concern. He stated he has had patience who's cracks have healed, however given I'm 17 weeks out I highly doubt that will happen. In addition to that, I feel as if the right side of my nasal bone is more prominent and defined than the left side is. I'm no doctor but I have a feeling it's likely associated with the fact that my bone is cracked on the left side.
I'm aware I'm fairly early on in my recovery as he mentioned it could take up to a year and a half for all the swelling to resolve. However, at this early stage I'm pretty concerned about the final outcome. The thought of my nasal bone being cracked that much doesn't seem safe or sit well with me, and it makes me uneasy that perhaps a strong enough bump to my nose will cause it to break. I can also tell there is a slight dip when I take photos at a certain angle and my fear is that once the swelling goes away completely I'll have a very noticeable dip as well as this dark line running down my nose. Dr. Reish mentioned that he doesn't conduct revisions on issues as such if he feels going back in wouldn't be beneficial and in fact cause more harm. I am 100% in agreement with that, I obviously do not want to have a revision if my nose will look worse after. However, at the same time it is disappointing that MY surgery ended up this way after him having many sucessful surgeries. Obviously we all have this surgery for medical/personal reasons and mine was due to both. My nose has been an insecurity of mine for the last 6 yrs and I still feel insecure especially when people ask why I have a "bruise". I know the crack will not heal or miraculously seal but I'm hopeful that the final outcome makes me feel more confident than before. And if that's not the case I really hope Dr. Reish can address this concern, especially if it is a medical concern.
I also want to mention I was not expecting a "perfect" nose, but I'm sure you can understand that a cracked nasal bone is far from ideal. Dr Reish has been very responsive to my messages and very nice despite me reaching out various times. He also asked that I continue to keep him updated on this issue.
I'll give it some more time and will follow up with an update.
