Hi all. I had an appointment yesterday with dr rochira. He saw an improvement in my results post first steroid injection.
He injected another steroid shot into my nose. Hope it will shrink even more now! Dr rochira said i could get a third shot in 6 months time but no more than 3 shots as too much steroids could eat away your tissue.
I told Dr rochira that I think my nose is too big for my face and he explained that as I have thick skin I need probably more than 1 year to see final results. Also due to thick skin, it may never look as refined as I want.
What I’ve learnt so far is that you don’t see a huge difference when it comes to thick skin and rhinoplasty. People I see often didn’t even notice I’ve had work done including work colleagues and family!!
When I look back at old pics there’s definitely an improvement although my current nose is still big, but I have no regrets

As requested from some of you.....a picture of my immediate results.
I am told most patients get the same results as the immediate post op results but currently I am still swollen. I am due to have the second steroid injection next week so hoping it will reduce the size further.

Steroid injections work!

Ok so after 2 weeks from having the steroid injections I can confirm they work! My nose looks more refined after the injection. My family have noticed the change too. I feel that the front view of my nose Is much better now. Advice for thick skin patient: ask your surgeon about steroid injections! I’ll post pictures hopefully soon
