My History & The Struggle
I had a broken nose with zero airflow in my right nostril and only 50% to 75% airflow in my left. As a heavy mogul skier living in Lake Tahoe at 7,500 feet altitude, it made skiing extremely difficult, and I would suffer from panic attacks at night because I couldn't breathe. To complicate things further, I suffer from severe claustrophobia—I can’t do elevators or fly easily, and I feel trapped in small spaces. When I first sat in Dr. Rahban's office, I was so intense that I honestly think I scared him, and he almost didn't take me as a client!
Why I Chose Dr. Rahban
I was referred to him, and from the start, he made me feel completely at ease because of his total honesty. I knew he wasn't feeding me a line or trying to hustle for business; he genuinely cared about my situation and truly wanted to help.
The Surgery & Results
My primary goal was just to fix my breathing, and Dr. Rahban was upfront that he couldn't promise a specific cosmetic outcome beforehand—he just promised he would do his very best. The results are magnificent! I now have 100% breathing in both nostrils, zero breathing problems up in Lake Tahoe, and my nose looks phenomenal—far better than I ever expected.
The Staff
Finally, a huge shout-out to the office staff. Usually, calling a doctor's office is something you dread because the staff can be grumpy, but Tiffany, the receptionist, is extremely professional, well-mannered, and wonderfully pleasant every time you call. Sally, the office manager, was also fantastic at detailing time frames and what to expect. Dr. Rahban and his entire team changed my life.
