Fantastic Surgeon for a Conservative Approach to a Nose Job

I'm officially 2 weeks post-op from my closed rhinoplasty -- and I remember digging through reviews sooo thoroughly before picking a surgeon, and going through with the surgery, so now it's my turn to give mine :) Dr. Dugar is exactly what others have said. He's a super nice doctor, isn't pushy or aggressive - and will answer as many questions as you have without making you feel like a bother. His team is also next level and so kind, they made the booking process super easy, and checked in on me every day post-op via call and text. During my consult I was a little bit worried because Dr. Dugar doesn't give you morphs to take with you like other docs, but honestly that makes total sense -- you're a 3D real life person, and an image doesn't really do it justice. He showed me another case that was similar to mine to show me what I might expect. Honestly, his conservative approach is what ultimately made me choose him because my biggest fear was ending up with a botched nose job, and that's just not a thing with him. I did have filler in my nose 2 years prior which was actually still very present -- so I had to get that dissolved elsewhere 1 week before surgery. As for the surgery process -- here's my experience: 3 weeks before surgery I quit any alcohol, advil, etc...they give you a list of things to avoid. 1 day before surgery the anesthesiologist gave me a call to check in and see if i had any questions...super nice man. Then the day of surgery, my surgery was at 10am so I did all the pre-op paperwork, changed into hospital clothing, and started icing my face. Finally, they took me in for surgery, started talking to me, and then all of a sudden I was out in the recovery room. When I woke up there was really no pain, just some pressure. Now for the recovery: I truly had NO pain. I took nothing more than 1-2 tylenols daily. The most frustrating part though was sleeping on day 1 because I had packing in my nose and could not breathe at all. I even took an Ambien and that didn't really help because my throat was sooo sore. I went back the next day though and they took out the packing which made everything sooo much easier. Mind you, I'm a stomach sleeper so sleeping on my back is already one feat. I was bleeding a bit the first 3 days, but after that it pretty much stopped. I was a bit swollen and bruised, but nothing darker than a very light purple. You're also not allowed to exercise much which was/is the most difficult thing for me. I started going on short walks on day 2 because my legs were getting so sore from sitting. However, you do notice more swelling and pressure in your nose when you walk or do movement. By week 2 (now), I'm doing long walks again and feel relatively normal. A week later, I got my cast off. I was so nervous because I had no idea what to expect, but when the cast came off I was SO HAPPY! I looked the same as before but my nose was just so much cuter overall, smaller, straighter, etc. There was obviously still a lot of swelling but I was so happy to see how much it matched my face. After the cast came off, within 24h my nose swelled up a lot more. I'm now 1 week from the cast removal and my nose is very swollen...much more than day 1 of the cast removal, but I do have thick skin so I know it's going to take a while to settle. Each morning and evening look different and I can expect this to happen for at least a few more months. Overall, I'm super happy with my initial results but holding off on my final opinion until I'm a bit further along in my healing! I'll post my updates along the way. Dr. Dugar has a fantastic conservative approach if that's what you're looking for (no Turkey nose jobs here lol) and doesn't have an ego like some fo the other surgeons in LA I've met!
