Exquisite Doctor That I Have Trusted with my Body and NOW Face
My second and most recent surgery with Dr. Reish was my rhinoplasty; this is a surgery that I have wanted for 15 years. If you are in a similar position, you know how daunting this can be. Yes, you want it badly, but with that desire comes a fear of it not being what you always dreamt it would be...
Because so many other reviews below touch upon his excellent work as a surgeon and because his before and afters speak for themselves, I'm going to touch on a few unique points about the doctor. (Also, my nose is still healing and I will be sure to write a review more specifically on my rhinoplasty later.)
The first point is what brought me to Dr. Reish two years ago (while I was trying to find a surgeon for my breast augmentation.) It was his before & afters that did it for me. What I found in photos is that Dr. Reish has a talent for creating breasts & noses (and more) that beautifully complement the rest of your "look". It's not enough just to obtain a passable "natural" look, you want it to work harmoniously with the rest of your frame or face.
My rhinoplasty consult followed the similar path of my breast augmentation- I did not ask him to give me someone else's nose or body. Instead, we had a conversation of what bothered me and what would work with the rest of me. Sometimes I catch myself, two years later, looking on instagram, seeing other girls and thinking "oh, I should have gone bigger" (for my breast augmentation). But then I laugh because that would be ridiculous; we are not picking and choosing body parts with a complete disregard for what else you have been given naturally. I don't want some standard perfect nose, I want a nose that's perfect for ME. And it is for that reason I have continually trusted Dr. Reish's judgement and have unbelievable confidence in his eye as a surgeon.
Second little point of appreciation is how I wound up at Dr. Reish's office as the first and only plastic surgeon I went to for a consult. It was the no-charge-consult.
Now, I know why other doctor's may not like offering this... it is thought if you won't pay the consult fee then that means you aren't serious about your surgery, prehaps?
AU CONTRAIRE! As a patient in 2020, before you see your plastic surgeon you have already familiarized yourself to his/her work via Realself or Instagram. The consult is so you can interview the doctor and make sure you feel right about being in their particular hands. And that is why I find the no-charge consult with Dr Reish charming; it means, to me at least, that the office is giving you their vote of confidence in him as a person and surgeon... I just felt positively about a doctor that is willing to give you his time (very rare in NYC!) with absolutely no room for guilting you into a surgery by holding some fee hostage.
Lastly, my rhinoplasty with Dr. Reish was... flawless! I had a great pre-op, surgery day and post-op visits. Shout out to the lovely nurses that entertained conversations with me on surgery day. I have had no issues and despite having some swelling (I am only 2 weeks post-op) I can already tell I will love it and it's everything I wanted.
I recommend him continuously to my friends and although I think I'm done with surgeries now, I would of course choose Dr. Reish again and again.
