Cast removal- 6 days post op
I forgot to update so here we go. I got my cast off and my stitches out (getting stitches removed hurt so bad omg). I was so swollen I looked like squidward. Swelling has been going down every day, but it’s up and down. Typically worse in the mornings. Bruising lasted about 8 days, and I can totally go out in public now without being worried about looking crazy. 3 main concerns rn- 1) I have a string from a stitch that I guess was accidentally missed in the removal process. I texted Dr. Reish and he said that they’re dissolvable so it shouldn’t be an issue. 2) my nostrils look pointy towards the tip. I hope this is just due to swelling and will round out with time, but we will see. 3) my nose is still looking pretty wide and my family keeps commenting on it- I hope this is also due to swelling. But otherwise happy. Looks cute.
I have attached photos from 3 angles of me exactly 14 days post op, a video of me with makeup on 14 days post op, and a video of my cast removal 6 days post op.

5th Day Post-Op
Hello! Today is day 5 post op. Day 2&3 were definitely the days I felt the worst, but still not terrible. The most frustrating thing for me is that I am sleeping like sitting up basically on my back, and I’m normally a stomach sleeper. But it’s okay! Word of advice if you’re taking the painkillers they prescribe is to start laxatives ASAP! LOL. I can’t really taste yet which sucks, but eating isn’t difficult anymore. Overall, it’s been a pretty fine recovery. My cast removal is tomorrow, and I’m looking forward to it! Attaching current photos of myself here.
My Rhinoplasty Experience
Hello everyone! I had a septorhinoplasty with spreader grafts with Dr. Reish in NYC on June 2nd, 2021 at around 12:45pm. My experience leading up to the surgery itself was pretty good and straightforward. I had my initial consult with him a few months ago over FaceTime, and he gave me his personal phone number for any questions I had along the way.His office was also very easy to get in touch with. I have attached photos of my nose before, as well as before and after photos taken of me on the operating table. I will try to keep up with daily updates on my healing.
