Consultation review - Not the experience I was expecting
ORIGINAL POST
Not the Experience I Was Expecting
I had a consultation with Dr Joshi which for me was basic. After reading all of the positive glowing reviews I was certain he was going to be the one I booked for my surgery but the consultation left me feeling a little hard done by tbh.
Dr Joshi was very nice, knowledgeable and explained the ins and outs of the surgery I was interested in. We vaguely discussed expectations but there was no opportunity to ask if I could see photos of cases similar to mine he had worked on or for me to show him photos I had gathered during my research.
There was no discussion of how much it may cost which for me is important as I do not have an endless pot of money but a certain amount of savings only.
The consultation felt a little rushed. He did take some photos of my face so I naturally thought he may contact me by email with a plan/report of the next steps and maybe costs involved.
He asked me to make a follow up appointment which I understand would cost a further £150 on top of the £200 which at the time I thought was a little strange but again thought he must be emailing with the finer details so I left it there and waited to hear from him.
After a week I had an email from his secretary letting me know that clinic records would only be sent once the invoiced had been settled?
I had paid the invoice weeks before and emailed back to let her know. I did not receive an apology for the oversight but just a letter sent that Mr Joshi had written to my GP explaining that I had been to see him.
I have emailed Jackie to ask if Mr Joshi may send the information requested but I have still not heard a thing. This may be an isolated case it may not be but unfortunately it has now put me off seeing Mr Joshi for any further treatment.
