Amazing Experience...

I waited a full year to leave this review so that I could be as accurate and thorough about my experience as possible. A year after my procedure, I could not be happier. Both before and after my surgery I scoured RealSelf for reviews about how long the healing process took for different people with varying levels of work done, hoping to find some proof that healing could be faster, but at this stage in my recovery I can tell you the doctor was not lying - you need to be patient and wait a full year to see your final result. When my splint was removed, I cried, thought I looked like a monster. Within a week, swelling drastically decreased and I started to like my result. Everyday after that I saw more and more changes and a year later I am so happy with my new nose. I had a rhino/septoplasty with Dr. Reish, a very extensive job as you can see from the photos, and the result is exactly what I hoped for. First, I can actually breathe for the first time in my life. If you have a deviated septum, septoplasty will change your life. For the cosmetic portion of my procedure, I had a (severe) dorsal hump reduction, tip deprojection and tip elevation. Dr. Reish is an absolute artist, a nose-god. I don’t know how it’s even possible that he made so many amazing and drastic improvements to my old nose and didn’t change the look of my face at all. The result is so natural and fitting to appearance, you wouldn’t even know I had work done.

One of the main reasons I chose to see Dr. Reish for a consultation was because none of his noses were cookie-cutter. After meeting with Dr. Reish and his team I was completely comfortable putting my face in their hands. He does not do digital imaging of what your result will be, as it’s unrealistic and gives patients a false expectation of what is possible - I liked this about him. He takes photos and gives his advice, then listens to your concerns and comes to a mutually agreed upon plan for your procedure, balancing what you want with what is possible.

Dr. Reish’s staff was extremely accommodating with appointment options as well as payment options, with or without insurance (it can be an option in some, not all, cases). Communication was excellent through every step of the process, it’s clear that this team cares about their patients. I received phone calls the morning after my surgery from both Dr. Reish personally as well as the anesthesiologist, checking on my condition. Dr. Reish gave me his personal cell number prior to my surgery to contact him directly with any questions. Within the next few days after my surgery, he checked in regularly with texts. Every time I had a question throughout the healing process, he responded in a timely fashion. I would want nothing less when it comes to surgery and my face. If you’re on the fence about going ahead with this procedure and/or this doctor, just do it, you will not be disappointed.

In conclusion, this surgery was life changing. Yes, the healing is uncomfortable and it’s a long road to your final result, but be patient, trust the process, and trust Dr. Reish.
