Rhinoplasty with Dr. Reish - 20/10 Recommend!

When it came to deciding who was going to perform my first cosmetic operative procedure (especially on my face) I spent a TON of time researching and cross-referencing various plastic surgeons in NYC and the greater NYC area (I live in a reputable academic town in New Jersey). Nonetheless, after countless hours of research, calling different doctor's offices, and even a few consultations later, I decided to move forward with Dr. Richard Reish - the BEST decision I've ever made!

As someone new to this experience and who didn't really need rhinoplasty, to begin with (no breathing/health issues, no noticeable 'bumps', just personal preference on overall size and shape), I was EXTREMELY nervous and unsure of the process, but the entire Upper East Side office of nurses, staff, and even Dr. Reish, himself, made the entire process seamless and comfortable.

All the fantastic reviews before me could not have been truer. Dr. Reish has an excellent bedside manner, he is professional, polite, and extremely caring. He listens to his patients and offers his personal cell number at the consultation appointment for any questions/concerns you may have throughout the process. He is also extremely timely with his responses.

Dr. Reish is thoughtfully direct and provides his honest and professional opinion; I had originally scheduled a consultation to discuss rhinoplasty and a chin implant, but he insisted the chin implant was not necessary and suggested I focus on only one procedure as he felt my chin was great the way it is (I'm very happy, personally and financially, with his recommendation).

In life, I've always been told "buy nice or buy twice" - while Dr. Reish's experience, knowledge, and expertise speaks in his costs, I don't believe cosmetic surgeries (especially rhinoplasty) should be something you should risk bargain hunting for.

From my consultation, pre-operative appointment, and finally, to my operation, I was greeted with comfortability, care, and personal attention to each of my needs. Following my operation, I received follow-up text messages over the next two days from Dr. Reish and Dr. Spitzer (the anesthesiologist) checking in on my recovery. The texts were personable and authentic, I was really pleased with the amount of time they take on each of their patients.

I have the privilege to work from home (for better or worse, during the coronavirus outbreak) so I have limited my public appearance for the week after surgery. Though swollen and my bruising still visible, I can already see the amazing results directly reflected in my requests to Dr. Reish. I cannot wait for the cast to come off in a couple of days and watch the swelling subside over the next coming months.

I seriously could not have asked for a better rhinoplasty experience. If you are (or are not) in the NYC area but doing your research in trying to find the best doctor for rhinoplasty and other cosmetic procedures, Dr. Richard Reish and his team are the experts you're looking for -- I CAN PROMISE THAT!

Pre-Op/Post-Op Photos

AestheticMe
Wanted to share a few pre-op and post-op photos up until 1 week when I got the stitches out and cast off. Just wanted to show the true beauty of the healing process and let y’all know that I definitely went in public on day 3 and day 7. Sorry for the attempts at anonymity, not sure if it accomplished anything but it’s for peace of mind. As you can tell in day 7 no-cast photos, my nose is definitely still swollen but I’m so so SO happy with the results so far.

Pre-Op profile

Accidentally deleted the profile before pic, here they are as reference. As you can see, my ridge was slightly high and (as would be described as “masculine”) and I didn’t like that my tip dropped when I would smile. Id describe the tip of my nose like a bulbous button- it had a break in cartilage right in the middle which I always hated.
