Rhinoplasty with Dr Ion
UPDATED FROM Newnosesearch
Thinking about a revision
$9,100
Been nearly 2 years since my rhinoplasty! For the most part I am 70% happy. My nose is a lot better suited to my face than my birth nose however my breathing isn’t great and the shape has changed quite a lot since when I got my cast off.
I’ve seen Dr Ion a few times last year were he put steroid injections near the tip to see if the swelling would go down but I’m starting to think I have build up tissue just above my tip. One side feels like a curve and the other is more straight. It looks like it’s drooping slightly. However I’m happy with my front view it’s mostly just the profile that I’m unhappy with
I have a appointment with Dr Ion in May which is meant to be my last appointment but I will be telling him my concerns and seeing what he thinks. I really wouldn’t want another surgery as the recovery was horrible but at the same time if I’m not completely happy and my breathing isn’t great then maybe I should sort it out? What does everyone think? I need advice please :(

2 months post opp!!
Hi all. So sorry I have been off this for ages and haven't replied to everyones messages. Can't believe its already been 2 months.
I had my first follow up with Lucian about 4 weeks ago. He gave me a steroid injection just above my tip to help with the swelling. Before my follow up I was getting quite worried as both sides of my nose looks different, one was more sloped and the other more straight. I didn't see much of an improvement from the injection till about a week after.
The last few weeks my nose is looking so much better and smaller. I'm am over the moon with everything. Swelling can be a B!! Haha.
Only issue at the moment is Swelling inside my nostrils, It's making my breathing kind of difficult. Will see how this goes over the next couple weeks, if it's still the same I'll send a picture over to Ions office.
I have attached some pictures, I'm not sure why I always take these pics when I come out the shower with wet hair haha please excuse me.

Looks amazing!! My surgery is next month! So nervous!!
good luck!! I'm sure you will be fine x
@Rhinomisery if you feel up to it, please keep us posted on your result. Best wishes.
I will do!! Thank you!!
Looks great already. Could you breathe ok after cast off?
yes i could. I actually had my splints off 3 days post opp& then my cast off 7 days po. when I first got the splints out I could breathe but after about an hour my nose got blocked again. It cleared up after a few days
This is a gorgeous result x
thank you :) x
Can I ask did our ask about a base reduction? I’m about to book with Lucion Ion and he didn’t advise that I needed it but when I asked he said he didn’t know but not to have it and get unnecessary scaring but could have it done at a later date if I needed to?! I just don’t want my nose to look wide from the front. Any advice? Your nose looks fantastic. Thank you
Looks great!
thank you!
UPDATED FROM Newnosesearch
Update of nose 3 weeks po
Nose has gotten smaller from last week and is getting more sloped which I was hoping for. I felt like it was too straight but Dr Ion told me that it will get more sloped once the swelling goes down. Breathing is good and I've been sleeping normally (not straight up) for the past week and had no problems, I just couldn't sleep sitting up anymore lol. I have been taping my nose at night, I'm not sure if it makes a difference but I'm doing it anyways haha

Amazing resultss! Looks so natural and suits you perfectly I think ! Thanks for showing us before photos, you have encouraged me to book an appointment for December, hope all goes well im so nervous about any side effects that may happen
aww thank you!! Ooo so exciting! is this your first rhinoplasty? what side effects are you worried about? before my surgery I was so nervous but so relieved I went through with it in the end x
Yes its my first! Im thinking more like not being able to breath/smell properly ( i have a deviated septum already) .. and worrying about it not going as planned which is normal i guess. Hope dr lucian will be able to resolve my worries
is your appointment on December 3rd? :) I will be there at 1300.
No its in mid december! Let me know how yours goes! I’m from abroad so flying all the way there.
I am
Too!! Traveling from FL. I will!!
it is Deffo normal! you can trust Dr Ion he is such a wonderful doctor that wants to make his clients happy. I'm positive your surgery will go great :)
You look so pretty and it is only 3 weeks
thank you so much
Great results. Do you know if dr Ion ever does closed rhino? Why he did open approach on you?
I’ve been on a consult with him and he says he always prefers open. The surgeon can see better the cartilages. Most closed rhinos don’t go well. You can see most of them always turn out pinched. Too much lateral crus removed. Let him do open . The scar on your columella fades
I just saw someone on the tube today who clearly had an open rhino ... I don't get why open is preferred. This is my concern also - that at my consult he'll say he can't do it closed :(
My primary was closed. Im terrified of open rhinoplasty and scars and the ones on columella are defo visible. I can always tell if someone had rhino because of the scar and sometimes they dont even saw it back perfectly from end to end (cringe)
Yeah, that's exactly what it was - it wasn't the colour. It was how at the end it wasn't quite aligned. I don't think someone who has no idea about rhinos would notice it though. But yeah, once you know that look - you can tell instantly.
Do we know of anyone on real self who's had closed rhino with Lucian Ion?

I honestly dont know anyone. I’ve only seen open cases both primary and revision.
Do you know that his revision costs 16,500£ now? Its insane.
Could you please update us? Your nose looks beautiful
