Collapsed/Ear Deformity after cartilage harvest
$3,000
I also have to add that although Dr Yappy harvested the cartilage from the back of my ear, he left me with collapsed and deformed ear. It looks weird now and I feel conscious at all times. I can't wear pony tail or earrings because it will expose the indifference. I didn't mind it at first because I could hide it with my hair but it's my boyfriend who first noticed that the donor ear looks weird :-( I also can't wear ear phones because it keeps falling as the ear lost its support.

Uneven nostrils, visible scarring
I feel so conscious about my nostrils I look like an asian anymore.I don’t feel like myself anymore. My nose bridge is too high for me I've lost my ethnicity. Many people say I now look like an indian/caucasian and my new nose does not blend well with my facial features and bone structure plus I have a chinese looking eyes. I look too strong.
I haven spoken to 2 surgeons and they both agreed the implant is too big.
It was not even explained to me before surgery how many mm of goretex will be put in my nose.
I feel so depressed right now because I paid so much money just to get to the Philippines and I expected to have nice nose if not perfect.
Many people would agreed that they like my face before. Subtle change was all that I needed. This is what happens when the surgery is rushed and surgeon was too exhausted after operating 3-4 patients before me. Lack of planning on his end.

Im so sorry about what happened to you. Do you thinking about a revision? Im planning to get my nose done on November and my choice is either Dr Yappy or Dr Rino Lorenzo. But after seeing you and all the other who had the same problem, I think I will go to Dr Rino. Any suggestion for me? Because Im asian too, and I really still want to look like an asian after the rhinoplasty
I have heard and read many negative reviews about Dr Rino Lorenzo as well... please be very careful in choosing your surgeon.. Send me a PM
Sorry that you are going through the same thing. He is careless, sloppy, and reckless. The same thing happened to me. ON the day of my surgery he operated on at least 3-4 patients before me, and I was unlucky enough to be the last patient.
Thank you for being brave and posting pics so that others can verify your experience .
I wish more patients will come out and post their reviews..Most people just rely on his heavily filtered Instagram photos.. Dr Yappy will only post photos with better results, will only make an effort if his patient is a celebrity or vblogger or an endorser..But for ordinary people like me, it's just up to chance and luck..:-(
I can tell thats why I am set with not choosing him any longer
Wow... so sorry to hear about your ordeal and your results... but let me assure you this wasn’t anything to do with you being the 3rd or 4th paitient...I was his first paitient of the day and he still managed to mess my nose up
Omg.. I'm sorry to hear about that bad experience.. May I know what happened? If only I could turn back to time I should have waited and done my research and NEVER go to him, although Dr Yappy is nice and a bit accommodating, he's not the right doctor for me! He messed up with my nose and ruined my dream...he gave me a nose which I really hate. Now I will need to save more money for revision that costs a lot more and risky
He took too much of my columella away making my nose appear short, bolbous and stubby...he did not refine my nose enough I think it is more bolbous than when I went...also he claimed I did not need an implant as I had a bridge...he got that wrong too... I’ve just been left with uneccesary scaring for a nose that looks worse than before...I’m in the process of trying to get a refund as I also need a revision ...let’s see how that goes
Also I’m convinced I have a slight poly beak deformity...I’m 6 weeks post op and his advice is it’s too early to tell...but swelling can only distort the nose so far...a botched nose is noticeable right away..and I didn’t like it as soon as I saw it and still don’t and doubt I ever will ...I’ve found a revision doctor in turkey who I wish I had gone to in the first place
Right after they removed the cast from my nose, I also noticed it straight away that the implant is too huge and I already hated my nose. They told me to wait for 6 months to year to see the final result as the nose will continue to improve, but here I am now still very depressed about the outcome of my nose.
Same thing with me. I knew IMMEDIATELY that my nose was botched the moment he took off the cast. My nostrils were completely uneven and the implant was huge. I looked like a freak.
He uses the SAME excuses OVER and OVER with everyone he botches. First, he'll say it's swelling, but when there is clearly no swelling left, he'll say "there's no perfect nose." The problem is that he leaves your nose WORST off than before. The truth is coming out about this butcher.

Did he cut your alars / nostrils to narrow them? How are the scars on your nostrils?
I feel for you, sorry for having to go through that experience. I also had a bad rhino experience, though not with Dr. Eric. Are you planning to have your revision in the Philippines? Which doctor are you considering?
I have not found the right surgeon yet still having second thoughts whether to do it in the Philippines or not because most doctors there only use goretex/silicone I'm not sure if they're really comfortable and expert in using my own cartilage/rib graft for my secondary rhino.. I've been thinking about going to South Korea which I should have done in the first place.. sorry to hear about your bad experience (I've known and talked to Yappy's multiple patients that have been botched by him) and they also regret going back to him for revision because the results just got worst!! and now in search of expert surgeons to do the job right
Your hesitation to go back to him is extremely understandable. Me too, I’m still looking for a rhino surgeon... hope to find one who’s not just skilled, but aesthetically compatible with me and understand that it’s important to retain my Asian look. I hope you find the right doctor for you, but please do some research about the cons of cartilage, like ear cartilage could warp or it’s outline could become obvious after several years, that’s actually one of the things that happened to me. Good luck! Hope you’ll keep us posted.
Would you mind sharing your pics? I sent you DM

I finally have the courage to post my visible implant and unnatural

I can see your issues clearly. The implant is too wide and looks like he didn't even bother to smooth out the edges. I have the EXACT same issue, because the edges show right through the skin. It's shameful that he does this to people.
I thought since he’s a board certified surgeon, he knows and expert about what he does. But the outcome of my surgery is like a work
of an amateur surgeon . A good surgeon must know how to conceal stitches and hide the scars so it won’t be obvious that you have surgery. I hope Dr Yappy should be more careful , take time to
evaluate and focus on each patients.. . It is unfair to the last patient when he can’t give his 100% because he’s already too exhausted and overworked.
oh my gosh, I am having schedule on december 2018. I have read about a lot of scarring issues but I have seen in instagram that he has very nice jobs? :( May i ask for a clearer picture of your nose only? thank you.
