Find Another Doctor!

I visited Dr. Amir from Canada for a severely deviated nose (to the right) and breathing issues. My surgery was over 1 year ago.

The online consultation was satisfactory, but the in-person consultation did not match the portrayal on his website, and no in-office Photoshop simulation was performed as requested.

The plan was to use a rib or ear graft for better functionality and aesthetics. During surgery, markings were made on my rib and ear, and my ear was numbed and prepped for a graft. However, Dr. Amir opted to use a bovine implant without prior discussion, asking my brother while I was under general anesthesia. I believe this deviation from the plan wasted time, and both this and the implant I did not consent to may have contributed to the unsatisfactory results and functionality issues.

Post-Op 1-2 months: Breathing has improved, but the nostrils are extremely uneven, and the nose is noticeably deviated to the left, contrary to the original right deviation.

Post-Op 3-10 months: Swelling increased, and I notice a bump (bone) on the nose tip. The front profile of the nose lacks definition, and the deviation becomes more apparent. Additionally, my nose makes a cracking sound when touched.

Post-Op 12 months: I am very disappointed with the results. Not only that, but also concerned.

Despite choosing one of the most expensive options, the results were unsatisfactory. My nose is now deviated to the left (opposite side!) with uneven nostrils, an implant causing cracking, no definition, and a bump on the nose tip. Dr. Amir was dismissive of my concerns, comparing my nose to its initial state rather than addressing ongoing issues. I have tried, time and time again, to justify his service and charges, and I simply cannot do so.

Update/Edit October 2024: They’ve ignored all my messages requesting my documents and just contacted my brother to pressure me into removing my review. Completely unprofessional and disgraceful. I’m still suffering from the same symptoms described, and they are more focused on covering it up than addressing the issue. This clinic is dismissive, refuses to be held accountable if things go wrong, and all they do is ignore you. Now, they’re trying to use my brother to silence my concerns. It’s been a year and a half, and they have yet to address these issues in any way, shape, or form.
