The Kindest & Most Talented Surgeon!!

I have wanted a rhinoplasty for well over a decade but was always too anxious to go through with it & no surgeon ever felt quite right, until I discovered Dr. Tyler Oakland. I immediately loved Dr. Oaklands results & aesthetics & only ever found good reviews about it so I went ahead and made a consultation appointment. During this initial virtual appointment, Tyler made simulations for me & spent time learning about what I wanted in a nose & asking me what about my current nose I wanted to change. He didn't rush or speak down to me at all & he took the time to explain exactly what procedures he would be doing & why, as well as what I could expect throughout the entire process. Before my surgery he met with me one more time virtually & once in person the day before surgery to give me time / space to ask any additional questions or make any subtle changes to the simulations that he had created. This review would also not be complete without recognizing Anita, the office manager, who always responded super quickly to all my calls & answered all of my logistical questions & even helped recommend an area near Denver for me to stay since I came from out of state. I also had a great experience at the surgical center that my surgery took place. The nurses I spoke to all raved about Tyler & some of them even had procedures booked with him themselves because his results are that good. Before my surgery, Dr. Oakland came in to check in on me & see how I was holding up & also explained post op procedures again & answered last minute questions that me & my friend who was taking care of me had. All of the pre op & post op instructions were extremely clear & he made sure my "caregiver" had his number in case she had any questions once I was out of surgery & still out of it. After surgery, Dr. Oakland texted me every single day for a week to see how I was doing & answered any questions I had about my recovery, even my most anxiety- fueled questions. He was so reassuring & I can't imagine having gone through this process with a different doctor. The say after surgery he sent me pre/post result photos & I broke down crying I was so emotional & happy. I truly couldn't believe it. The results looked EXACTLY like the simulations, to the extent that it seems unreal that any doctor could be that precise. I cried again when he took off my cast a week after surgery, I am so so so grateful to him. I also want to note that I had a cosmetic nose job & had never experienced any issues breathing through my nose or been told I had a deviated septum... but after my surgery it is unreal how much better my breathing is. Apparently the first day or so after my surgery I was just laying in bed telling my friend how well I could breathe now, & that's with swelling!! It has now been two weeks since my procedure & I am so happy. I love my side profile more & more every day & I can't wait to see what my nose looks like in a month from now when all the swelling is gone. If you are someone like me who has pretty high anxiety / perfectionism then you understand how hard it is to let your face / nose be in someone else's hands, but I promise you, Dr. Oakland is the best. He made me feel so safe & I knew deep down that this was the right choice. The day before my surgery Tyler told me "It's okay for you to be anxious but I'm not & I'm really excited for your case" & it really stuck with me & made me realize that when he is operating that he is an expert that knows what he's doing & that he knows what best for his patients through shared discussions & his training. I already have one friend who is scheduling a consult with Dr.Oakland for a revision rhinoplasty after seeing my results. My friend who took care of me & I have also already decided that if we ever want face lifts when we're older that Dr.Oakland is who we'll be going to.
Overall, I would 10000% make this choice again & I really do believe it is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I'm so grateful to Dr. Oakland, Anita, & the surgery center for making a nerve wracking surgery feel so safe.
