Best Decision and a Smooth Experience

From the moment I met Mr Uppal I felt completely reassured that I had selected the right surgeon. He knew exactly why I wanted he surgery and focused on my desire to have a natural look. He took lots of photos and showed me the sort of outcome he felt he could achieve. On my 2nd consultation I had a number of questions which he answered fully and I felt even more reassured that my upcoming surgery was the right decision and I had selected the right surgeon. Mr Uppal has such a warm personality and manner that he instantly makes you feel at ease.

On the day of the surgery, I met the anesthetist who was completely lovely. She talked me through what would be happening that morning and again I instantly felt at ease. My assigned nurse (Michelle) was just amazing, she looked after me from start to finish. I can’t fault the care I had at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Windsor. It was just seamless. Mr Uppal came to see me before surgery and made sure any final questions I had could be answered. He took some more photos beforehand and just reassured me everything would be fine and it would be a good outcome.

After surgery I went back to my room, I had no real pain and just rested in my room whilst my blood pressure was monitored. My throat was very sore and dry so I just drank sips of water and had some ice cream which really helped. Mr Uppal came to see me a few hours after surgery and showed me a photo he had taken of my nose immediately after surgery - I was very excited to see the result as it was covered in the splint so it was nice to know what it will look like. I went home at about 6pm.

The next day I received a call from the hospital asking me how I was feeling. They answered all of my questions so I could relax into the recovery over the weekend. On the Monday Mr Uppal contacted me on WhatsApp to assure me the swelling and bruising on my face was completely normal.

Recovery was fine but by the Wednesday I was so looking forward to the splint coming off on the Friday. I had followed all of the advice to aid my recovery e.g sleep with 2 pillows, lots of rest etc

I took the splint off in the shower as advised by Mr Uppal and had a zoom consultation with him in the afternoon. I’m really pleased with my result so far but I’m only on Day 11 of recovery so I still have a way to go.

Overall my experience with Mr Uppal and his team was amazing - I really can’t fault the process or the care I received at all. I feel I selected the right surgeon who has an excellent team supporting him. For anyone thinking about rhinoplasty and septoplasty I would highly recommend Mr Uppal.

I know I’m still on my recovery journey but I know Mr Uppal will continue to support me during my recovery period as I know he is keen to see the final result once the swelling has passed.
