Did not disclose an error made during surgery - left a permanent scar

I was lied to about a mistake he made during my rhinoplasty surgery, that has caused a permanent scar on my nose. I was only informed of the error after my cast was removed a week later and they took the stitches out before I could see it or know what was going on. I understand that he didn’t want me to be upset by the cut he made through the surface of my nose until I could see it, but I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to not disclose an error made during surgery and to tell your patient that everything went well.

They also did not give me the proper pre op instructions and Cynthia forgot to send me any post op instructions at all and Dr Diktaban forgot to call in my medicine for after the surgery. I reminded them both the morning of my surgery, as Cynthia was unresponsive all weekend via email or phone. Dr Diktaban told me the accident he made was due to excessive bleeding, which cause his instrument to slip, and they told me was my fault for having a beer two days before surgery, even though they never gave me any pre op instructions stating I needed to stop drinking alcohol. When I brought that up to him he tells me that alcohol won’t really have that kind of effect. So, he lied to me and tried to blame the error on me even though my actions had nothing to do with it.

The cut he accidentally made on the outside of my nose got infected and formed a bump on the end of my nose. A year and 5 steroid shots later the bump is mostly gone, but I am still unhappy with my results. I felt as though he did not take my concerns seriously, and he told me it could have been much worse and essentially that I’m fortunate. I have discoloration and redness that resulted from the steroid injections into the scar, as well as the uneven texture from the cut of the scar itself, and pockmarks from the needles they used that were obviously too large. I told Dr Diktaban I was unhappy with those things and he said that they blended in with my other blemishes and that I was over reacting and just needed to get used to it. Well, I’m not used to it.
