I really don't like to leave negative reviews, but I wanted to detail my experience here as I honestly wish I had read this before going to Dr. Miller. I had a rhinoplasty done with Dr. Miller a few years ago, when I was 18-19 years old. There are a lot of things I could say, but I want to focus on the main reasons for this review: I feel like Dr. Miller acted unethically after botching my nose and basically denying it.

When I went to Dr. Miller, I had a very deviated septum and wanted my breathing fixed, as well as remove a dorsal hump/refine the tip. He suggested I didn't actually need a septoplasty only the turbioplasty. Although 2 other doctors disagreed with this, at 19 I really didn't know any better. Immediately after I had my cast taken off I knew my nose wan't going to be exactly what I wanted- it was way too projected and looked like a "plastic surgery nose". At the time I was fine with it, as it look better than before and I would wait for the swelling to go down. HOWEVER, right away my breathing was barely better if at all. Over the next few years, the swelling went down a ton, but my nose was getting more and more crooked (see photos). From the front it is very noticeable, and both side profiles looked very different. At one point I realized you could see my septum if I looked up. When I would breath in my nostrils were very uneven and would suck in and my columella was stuck out, it made so self conscious it was obvious I had my nose done. Eventually, I went back to Dr. Miller to address these issues.... Dr. Miller examined my nose and basically told me that "these things happen" and it was because my facial muscles are so uneven that my nose was pulled to the side (which I now know to be a complete lie). He said put in some filler to hid the giant dent in nose and that was it. He never said it could be fixed, he never mentioned a revision, and he never admitted to me what I now know is truly wrong with my nose. Now, after seeing 2 more rhinoplasty surgeons, I know that (from what they said) I CLEARLY have a nasal valve collapse causing no airflow in my nostril and a crooked nose (caused by taking too much out of my nose), a perforated septum, and a very severe deviated septum. And that is only the structural issues! They also both said my tip was way too projected for what he took off my bridge, the columella stuck out a significant amount. When I told these doctors what Dr. Miller told me about my "asymmetry" they were outright appalled.

Now, it would be one thing if this happened and Dr. Miller addressed or at least told me I had these issues when I went back to him. BUT HE DIDN'T. I was alone and young and I feel so taken advantage of. He basically rushed me out the door, no follow up to address my breathing issues, nothing. I've had friends who have had issues after a procedure, but their surgeons had told them themselves and worked to fix it. I find it so unethical that Dr. Miller didn't do this-especially since he was with a medical student at the time!

My parents were kind enough to pay the 16k for this surgery the first time. Finding out I need to pay more than $23k again just to fix my nose is really upsetting. Hopefully this helps anyone researching doctors.

I very strongly advice against having a rhinoplasty with Dr. Miller. However, If you're going to go with through with it, the one thing I will say is be very specific about what you want & go with a friend or family member. He tends to dominate the conversation and rush through the consultation, so having someone to also ask questions may help.

Happy to answer any questions, show more photos, or discuss my experience/ my revision doctor further!

So sorry this happened! I also got my nose done when I was younger and probably didn't do enough research before getting it. At first I didn't mind it because it was smaller than my birth nose which was HUGE, but over time it began collapsing and getting more and more crooked. Fast forward 10 years later - I couldn't stop thinking about getting a revision so I finally did. I met with a few surgeons and they all said my case was kinda tricky due to the pinch and unevenness. But I finally found someone I felt comfortable with and ended up getting it fixed at the end of 2019. Even though it took me some time to get used to the now wider area of my nose where it was pinched, I can genuinely say that the doctor did a great job and I don't mind taking pictures from the front anymore! I actually need to update my review because it still says "not sure". Anyways, I think you are in NY and wanted to let you know if you're looking for someone with a lot of rhino experience and who can take on a difficult revision check out Dr. Ciardullo in Harrison, NY. Any questions, let me know! Good luck with your revision search!

This is litterally how my nose looks after a primary rhino with another doc in my country . Please can you share more info about why it is tricky to fix cause i feel devastated when i read it .

Not sure if your question was for me or the original poster, but I honestly don't know why mine was considered tricky to fix. Maybe because I needed cartilage to build it back up above the tip? Have you found someone in your country who is good with revisions?

Wish I had seen this review before selecting Dr. Miller for my procedure.

I went on consult with him but I don't think I'm moving forward. What procedure did you get done with him?

hi, did you go through this experience also?
December 5, 2023
No. I went to him for a consult on the micro lift, but I'm not moving forward. I had my revision rhino with Dr. Ciardullo in Harrison, NY

Don’t, I got a Rhinoplasty with him and he left a huge noticeable scar on the side of my nose, and the procedure was not cheap. He injected steroids in the scar, but it didn’t do anything. Its been years and the scar is still there

do you mind saying a bit about your microlift consult experience? that's why i was going to book with him so i'd love to know your thoughts

So i went to him for a micro lift consult showing him what I wanted lifted and he took a marker and drew all over my face LOL saying well see when you lift this area of your temples, it lifts this, and it lifts this and it lifts this down here. A micro lift won't do that - you're going to need a face lift. Meanwhile I've been on a bunch of consults before and no one else said I needed a face lift. Not to mention I don't have that much sagging. But when I look at this social media and videos and examples of the micro lift he literally talks about how the micro lift can help lift mid face, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't apply to me. I've used face tape before at my temples to lift upwards and outwards and that's what I wanted the surgery to mimic, but apparently I wasn't a good candidate he said? I don't know. He was nice and everything - but the things he offered to me just were not what I was looking for. That's all! Good luck with your consult!

Thank you for sharing, so pleased I read it as I’ve been looking at this Dr for my son to have a micro rhinoplasty, but this has really put me off!

Sorry you had to go through this horrible experience. Did you have your nose redone? If so, better results?
