I’ve posted some before and after photos for comparison. The front view of my nose no longer looks straight. I was pretty happy with how my nose looked from the front before the surgery but now there seems to be a collapse and unevenness in the bridge that have made me super self conscious.
ORIGINAL POST
Avoid Dr Fuentes
I had a rhinoplasty and chin augmentation about 7 months ago. I am fairly satisfied with the chin implant however, I received liposuction when I did not authorize it. Nothing in my quote or the documents I signed included consent for chin liposuction. I found out that I had liposuction from the description of my picture he posted on his social media page. The chin implant hurts a bit on the right side and is placed a little lower than the left but all within a margin of error that I can tolerate. The nose on the other hand is a different story.
To say that I am disappointed in the rhinoplasty is an understatement. I realized just hours after my surgery that my nose looked crooked even under the cast. After the tape and cast were removed I immediately knew something looked off but I didn’t bring it up. I was more shocked to see my nose and nervous since he took his phone out to video tape my reaction. I’m a people pleaser by nature and so I nervously smiled and thanked him hoping things would improve over time and the tip would drop to resemble more like the photoshopped photo he created.
At my 3 month follow up, Dr Fuentes addressed only the bump on the bridge saying it could be filed down. I told him my nose appeared curved and he said it wasn’t. I emailed him again two months later and he asked that I schedule an appointment for nose filler. I’ll post pictures soon so that anyone interested can see that this is not something that can be fixed with nose filler.
I have started my search for revision rhinoplasty experts. Most of the better known ones in the US and Mexico are booked for consultations until May 2023. This means I’ll have to wait over a year just for a consultation.
Please do your research and talk to as many patients as possible. It seems like Dr. Fuentes has some good outcomes but when it comes to your face don’t leave it up to chance. Dr Fuentes posts a lot of immediate before and afters and that should be a red flag. Your nose changes so much after the surgery and the swelling can hide many imperfections that will become visible soon after.
I am extremely regretful of going to Dr Fuentes. I hope that this review encourages others to seek different surgeons and prevents anyone from going through what I am going through now.

did he charge you for the chin liposuction too? i wanted to get a chin implant and rhinoplasty with him too and now i'm worried !
Hi! It’s not in my quote so I imagine not. I’m disappointed because I didn’t know this procedure was going to be done, I would have liked to weigh the risks prior. Finding out by social media was not appropriate. He had recommended that I get the chin implant for more balance during my consultation and in the end I may end up getting it removed since I can feel that it’s placed incorrectly and looks more full on one side than the other.
oh i see! May i ask what size implant he put in? I don't think it looks bad at all!
I asked him at my 3 month follow up, he said either small or medium and that he would need to look at my file to confirm. I didn’t press for an answer after that.
oh i see! i think you look great and your nose doesn't look botched at all! i've seen noses from surgeons in mexico that look completely deformed and botched and yours isn't the case! i hope you feel better about your results and wish you the best angel !
