If you are considering him, read this!

I had my rhinoplasty done with Dr. Volkan at the beginning of august of 2021.

To begin, researching doctors in Turkey was a scary process. There are so many good doctors out there that really you just have to find the one whose nose styles you like the most. I chose Dr. Volkan because I liked his natural style noses, and he seemed like a very skilled surgeon. When I contacted his assistant they were very helpful :) Their English is limited but they do an amazing job and they are very friendly. They answered all my questions, although sometimes it would take a while due to the time difference.

Due to COVID I had to reschedule 3 times and they were helpful with that as well! Very nice of them to help me out rearranging my dates.

I also contacted the doctor himself on Instagram and he was nice and responded very quickly.

The surgery itself was mostly a breeze. The consultation was the most surprising part because Dr. Volkan asked me a lot of questions to get to know me, and asked me to describe what I wanted my nose to look like. He did a 3D morph of my nose and got my dream nose right the first time around which I was impressed with. It was beautiful work:)

He came to see me right before the surgery to make sure I didn't have any questions and his assistant also visited and gave me a few mints to help with not brushing my teeth which was so nice lol

Surgery happened quickly, the hospital was very modern and clean. I recommend bringing someone with you because although there's no pain, you can't bend over or make a lot of effort

I went to see Dr Volkan again after a week and took my cast off, he said not to worry as the tip of my nose will drop and swelling will change how it looks like. I wanted to cry cause I looked like a pig lol, but I listened to him. It is a bit over a month post op now and my nose looks fantastic, although the top and bridge is still a bit swollen!

My scars are minimal and fading quickly. He reduced my columella which I was very insecure about and shaved the hump to give me a straight but natural looking nose. I know he has bad reviews but every doctor has a certain percentage of "failures", if you can call them that. Dr. Volkan is skilled and caring, everyone's skin type and scarring is different so your result will depend on so many factors. I'm taking care of my nose and being patient with the swelling but so far, I can 100% vouch for Dr. Volkan :)
