WORTH IT
After an extensive eight- year search for the perfect plastic surgeon to perform my rhinoplasty, I found unparalleled expertise and compassion in Dr. Mark Baldwin at Horizon Plastic Surgery. From the initial consultation, Dr. Baldwin’s approach instilled confidence and ease within me. His holistic approach focused not only on my physical transformation but also my mental health and overall well-being, ensuring I was fully prepared and ready to undertake the next step in this significant journey.
Dr. Baldwin’s dedication to crafting a natural-looking result, tailored specifically to enhance my features, sets him apart. My new nose is not a copy and paste from a magazine; it seamlessly integrates with my facial structure, exceeding my expectations.
I am profoundly grateful to have crossed paths with Dr. Baldwin. His expertise, care, and genuine concern for his patients is unmatched. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking a transformative and personalized plastic surgery experience. Dr. Baldwin has not only changed my physical appearance, but has also changed my life for the better.
Recovery tips I wish I thought of prior to surgery:
- Get a humidifier for your room because you'll be mouth breathing for 2 weeks and your mouth will dry out overnight. Waking up every 2 hrs to drink water while you're recovering is not fun.
- Have a really comfy pillow set up. I usually sleep on my side or stomach which is a no no post op. You will have to sleep on your back with your head elevated higher than usual to help alleviate the pressure in your head.
- Plan your meals for your return home from hospital. The last thing you want to do is to cook when you're recovering post op. Soup was my go to "meal". I wish I had stocked up and prepped in bulk.
- Drink pear juice/nectar, or prune juice the first week post op. I personally couldn't tolerate solids, so I stuck to juice. Pear and prune will help keep your bowels moving, counteracting one of the side effects of the pain relief you'll be taking regularly.
