I am 8 days post op and these are my side by side before and after photos- I feel like I can tell the biggest difference from the side or at least a 45 degree angle. I’m liking it more with each day!

I got my cast off today!
I got my cast off! It was quick and basically painless, just some minor discomfort. I’m happy with how it’s looking, I’m definitely hoping it gets a bit smaller as swelling goes down but it looks so so much better.
One thing I’m a little bummed about is my nostrils are quite different now, but the nurse said this could also get better as swelling goes away. Looking at me directly on, one side does seem a bit more swollen so that could explain my nostrils being different shapes and sizes.
I’m only 6 days post op so I know so much can change in the coming weeks!
I have another appt in 3 weeks to follow up!

Thank you for posting pictures and updating. It will certainly change a lot, but in my experience from two previous surgeries the shape stayed the same both times,will certainly shrink in size. Keep up posted please it is so important for all the people who are considering Dr Wayne for their surgery. If you are overall happy on day of cast removal you will likely continue to be happy. Congrats, it is so important to choose the right surgeon who understands the importance of putting their best effort for the patient!
Thanks again for sharing an update! It looks great in my opinion. The swelling will slowly go down and yes, your nose will look more refined and smaller in time.

You will be swollen for a few months for sure even if only you can see it and the tip will be the last thing to go down totally by 10-12 months for a primary surgery.
There is a ton of swelling early on and the nostrils sometimes can be off. My columella for my revision was scary and it looks pretty normal now :)

I’ve had lots of swelling and bruising which I’m hoping peaked today and will now start to get better! Pain has been very manageable.
The weirdest part is some of my packing started falling out of my nose while I was cleaning it so I ended up having to pull some of it out which the nurse said was fine. The worst part is definitely not being able to breathe, sleep is hard. Starting today (day 4 post op) I haven’t taken any pain meds other than Tylenol. And I’m not in any pain other than slight stinging sometimes.
I can tell the tip is already so much better even with the cast on. I get my cast off in 2 days! Here are some photos of the last 3 days!

Oh wow! Thank you so much for sharing! I am so grateful to people like you and other patients who are willing to share their journey. It will be my third surgery and I am really counting on Dr. Wayne and his best skill, I also want to be a happy chick finally :-) now we will all be looking forward to your cast coming off! I am stuck with 20 credits this quarter and just scored 100% in organic chemistry exam (only one in class), so concentrating on school at this time and counting days until end of quarter instead :-) I am certainly checking Dr Wayne’s realself and Instagram on a daily basis as the day of surgery is coming. When you are stepping into a third surgery there’s a lot of different feelings mixed in: excitement, fear, resentment and self blame for previous unsuccessful choices, but I try not to put this puzzle together, not think what could have happened. I have left the pieces on the floor and moved on. However, the puzzle still needs to be assembled. It takes a very special skill to perform a revision rhinoplasty and I like most of the noses Dr Wayne has done so hopefully I found Dr Wayne for a reason of mending my face and my life with it finally.I am staying really positive and really hopeful because if Dr Wayne puts his best skill I know how big of an impact this will make and the joy will be too big to measure. I am ready for this day!
