My results couldn’t be further away from what we discussed

i write this review, not to be mean but to share my honest experience. facial surgery, such as a rhinoplasty, is no joke - its expensive and permanent - and you must do your research. i believe my review of dr. monica kieu should be part of your research.

i had a primary rhinoplasty with dr. kieu and my results couldn’t be further away from what we discussed. she did attempt to address what made me insecure about my nose, but only worsened the issues. my tip appears droopier, my nostrils are permanently flared and asymmetric, my nose is more crooked than before surgery, i developed a pretty severe bump on my bridge, in addition to smaller bumps closer to the tip.

i regret putting my trust in dr. kieu. i think she is a very kind person who tried her best, but rhinoplasty is an extremely complicated surgery that she lacks the experience to perform. she kindly offered some solutions, to rasp down the bump or another surgery to revise the nostrils, but as stated before the trust is completely gone.

additionally, rhinoplasty (and the subsequent lengthy recovery) is a very emotionally charged experience. i avoid mirrors and looking at photos of myself. its been difficult to come to terms with my appearance and my identity honestly with this nose that i didnt ask for, a nose that i strangely feel is not mine. i have so much shame surrounding this experience, theres a lot i wish i had done differently. this has broken my confidence, and i don’t wish this on anyone. i cannot believe i paid for a nose that makes me look like an evil witch (not in a good way)

please please please, learn from my mistake. do your research and find someone with extensive rhinoplasty experience, someone with a photo gallery that proves they can provide good long term results, someone who is able to give you something close to what you asked for. this is not the place.
