Thrilled with the Results
WORTH IT
I’m now just over 6 months post op and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I had a large bump on my nose that I wanted removing, and I also wanted to have the tip lifted.
When I went to my consultations it was highlighted how uneven the bridge of my nose was (it didn’t bother me, it was true!) so I was realistic in what could be achieved in terms of my bridge becoming slightly wider, and the fact that I was more likely to see any continued unevenness because I have thin skin (this was according to both surgeons I consulted, so I wasn’t surprised by this).
I saw another surgeon in Harley street as well as Julian, but I knew that even though Julian was quite a bit more expensive, he was the right surgeon for me. He was very thorough and always well prepared for our discussions, and I never felt rushed or pressured into anything. He also took the time to walk me through exactly the approach he wanted to take, and then he took me through any changes he made to that approach when I came out of surgery and why, which was both reassuring and very professional, and he explained that I must have had some trauma to my nose in my childhood which resulted in the unevenness he’d noticed in the consultation - all corrected and refined now!
Ultimately I had particularly wanted a surgeon who could leverage the ultrasonic technique that Julian used, and it made a huge difference in my recovery. I only had a slight bruise and some swelling on one cheek, and within 2 weeks you couldn’t tell I’d had surgery aside from the remaining stitches.
Both Julian and Emma were brilliant in my first post surgery appointment, and they were really good to manage expectations around recovery and the time for swelling to reduce, but I was so pleased with it within a few days I didn’t have any worries about this, and it really has gotten better over the past few months as they said it would.
I have a beautiful side profile now, and everyone who knows I had surgery has said how natural it looks and even though it was quite a stark change to me, said how much better it fits my face, which is exactly what I wanted. Overall I would thoroughly recommend Julian.
