Dream nose after rhinoplasty for bridge bump, bulbous tip & breathing struggles
ORIGINAL POST
My dream nose
WORTH IT
I spent a lot of time looking through reviews when selecting a surgeon for my rhinoplasty so I want to share my experience here too.
Mark is a fantastic surgeon, I knew from my first consultation that I would choose him. He spent considerable time talking about expectations for surgery, both physical and mental. I had a few concerns with my nose, I had a slight bump on the bridge, bulbous tip as well struggling to breathe through one side. He assured me he could make my nose 80% better and showed me some images of similar cases to mine.
I was nervous but excited the day of surgery, Mark, the nurses and the anaesthetist were all incredibly comforting, before I knew it I was waking up in the recovery bed. My recovery was uncomfortable for the first 4 days but never painful. I would recommend to train yourself to sleep on your back if you don’t already do so, keep icing your face, and eat liquids. After getting the internal splints out after a week, the recovery was a breeze. I swelled and bruised but it went away quickly. At 2 weeks I got my cast off, I was definitely still swollen but my side profile was a dream.
I’m now about 6 months post-op and I have to say, I have my dream nose! It really looks like I was born with it, this is exactly what I wanted. My friends and family all think it looks great and really suits me. In addition to this, my breathing is significantly better, it makes sleeping and exercising easier. I thank Mark and his amazing team at Horizon, I would happily recommend him to anyone seeking a great rhinoplasty.
