In love with my nose - he gave me the nose of my dreams
My Rhinoplasty Experience
I remember coming across a girl’s youtube video about her rhinoplasty experience with Dr. Resit and I immediately headed to his instagram to look at his work. I instantly fell in love and knew this is the Dr. I wanted to work with. So in January I messaged his assistant on whatsapp and Maria answered pretty quickly. I sent her some pictures of my nose and then she sent me detailed information about pricing and how to move forward with setting an appointment. A few months later my appointment finally came and my mother and I flew to Turkey. We had someone pick us from the airport and take us to the hotel. My appointment was the next day. So the next morning we had someone take us to the clinic and I waited a couple of hours to see Dr.Resit for my consultation. Once I saw him he told me that I had a c-deviation and a kind of wide and droopy tip. To be honest my nose wasn’t horrible but there was things I didn’t like and plus I had a hard time breathing. The things he mentioned were what I had issues with. So I felt heard and understood. He explained how the surgery would be and what to look forward to after the surgery. He prepared me very well.
After some time the nurses got me ready for surgery and I remember seeing the Dr in the operating room and when I opened my eyes the surgery was over and I was in my recovery room. I’ll be very honest, personally my recovery was kind of hard and painful. After a couple of hours I felt an immense pressure on my nose. My ears were blocked for 7 days! It felt like I was on an airplane 24/7. My lip was bruised and it hurt whenever I smiled or laughed. My eyes and face got swollen after the 2nd day which is to be expected and it progressively got more swollen until day 4. On day 5 the swelling started to go down. I was instructed to clean my nose every 3 hours with a nasal spray and some ointment afterwards. The first 4 days my left nostril was blocked and I couldn’t get the nasal spray down my throat. I was pretty worried about it but I messaged Maria and she told me to continue forcing it and it was normal due to the swelling.
She was right because on day 5 or 6 my left nostril finally unblocked and I was able to clean it well.. Finally a week passed and I saw Dr. Resit for the last time to remove my cast. The cast removal was a little painful. It felt weird and I felt a lot of pressure when he removed the cast. Once I looked at myself in the mirror, I couldn’t recognize myself. My cheeks and eyes were still swollen and my nose was too but I saw the potential in my nose and I was so happy it brought tears to my eyes. He then put on my second cast and Maria gave me further instructions on how to clean my nose at home.
I immediately knew I made the right decision and all the pain and uncomfortableness was worth it. I will post some pictures of my before, of my 2nd cast removal and how my nose looks currently. I’m one month post op and I’m absolutely IN LOVE with my nose. He nailed it perfectly and I can’t stop looking at myself in the mirror. I already had confidence but this boosted it so much and I can breathe so much better now.
If you’re thinking about getting a rhinoplasty, definitely do your research and lots of it. My Dr. is extremely skilled and very popular in Turkey. I saw so many girls getting rhinoplasty’s with him and that definitely made me feel confident in who I chose to be my surgeon. I will forever be grateful for deciding to get a rhinoplasty and for Dr. Resit. He gave me the nose of my dreams! I had a great experience overall and Turkey is absolutely beautiful!! I definitely want to go back and explore more parts of it.
