Just got all of the above today with Dr. Motykie in LA.
Even though I was dreading the surgery, I'm actually feeling ok. I would say the toughest part so far was waking up from the anesthesia in recovery. I couldn't really see because there was ointment in my eyes and I was overall really uncomfortable.
As far as pain, it hasn't been bad. I don't have padding in my nose so I'm sure that's part of why it's not bad. I just have a splint. I took 1 codeine and I'm feeling good.
I've been drinking tons of liquids which is super important! I also ate saltines, pumpkin soup and applesauce and didn't have any issues. My doc stressed the importance of liquids to help get rid of the anesthesia. I can walk around the house with no issues.
The part that hurts the most is my thigh where he took the fat out.
I've been using cold compresses on my eyes, bacitracin ointment on my stitches, arnica gel on my undereyes, and taking arnica pills, aquaphor on my skin for the vampire facial and changing my gauze every hour or so. I'm not bleeding that much.
I can already tell my nose looks great. Width wise it is much smaller and my nostrils are even and smaller too.
It's really less pain and more about discomfort. I bought a wedge pillow high is helping keep me at 45 angle. I also am using a neck pillow which is helping a ton!
My mouth is really dry from breathing through it so I've been spraying it with biotene and that is helping a lot. My lips are dry so I'm using my lip mask by laneige that I got on Amazon and this stuff is the best! Cheap too! I also am using straws to drink liquids. And I have a mini fridge to keep my compresses cold. Don't use ice packs on your eyes if you get a blepharoplasty!

In these photos I had just undergone a co2 laser treatment which is why I'm so red.
I had a badly deviated septum that was throwing off the balance of my face.
The other picture is Dr.Motykie's misled photo he created to show me what my nose will look like.
