Reviews you can trust, from real people like you.
How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

The thing I cannot get over with
What makes me feel very sick to my stomach even today is that when I had first consultation with Dr Cory, he never mentioned about Medpor implant. He told me he is going to use my own cartridge from nose. I even said “ oh that’s good because I don’t want any implant in my nose” and he didn’t even said a word to that but smile.
Then there was a line indicating doctor uses Medpor implant for some cases on the signing paper.
Of course now I am stuck with nasty Medpor in my nose. So many other girls had gone through that. If he mentioned he need to use Medpor at the consultation, there is no way I would have proceeded.
So many girls fall for this trick.. we all believe what we discuss with doctor verbally rather than what’s written on documents. Of course we all need to read documents carefully but there are so many risks even death associated with surgery.
Especially someone who is new to plastic surgery, don’t know what to expect and naive.
I really think he knows our vulnerability and took advantage of that. He knew if he told us about Medpor implant verbally, he would lose some clients (money).
But all don’t want to be in trouble so let’s just include that in the documents so we can say “ you didn’t read carefully , it’s written “
I think this is morally wrong if he actually does that intentionally.
At least if he reads this and took it personal, please please make sure to mention about possible implant use verbally IN THE CONSULTATION not just the documents.

5 years of misery
It’s been 5 years since I had rhinoplasty with Dr Cory and my nose still keeps me very miserable. I still hate to take pictures and when I do, I have to edit a lot of nose area.
I have consistent itchy nose tip and sharp pain especially when I smile and laugh.
My skin of nose tip is thinning consistently.
I feel the Medpor is sticking out and coming out one day.
Other doctor told me Dr Cory simply cut too close to nostrils which cause the deformity. This mistake is often seen for very beginner or unskilled doctor.
I was shocked. I thought Dr Cory was much better doctor than that.
Recently sharp pain has been extremely bad so I decided to ask my family doctor if I should make some action on that. Then he left the note to Dr Cory’s clinic which I didn’t expect and wished. Then I got call from clinic all of sudden.
A woman from clinic told me I would need minor surgery to remove medpor implant but I left negative review on RealSelf and destroyed the relationship between doctor and I so she said “ you need to remove the negative review if you want to get help from us” I was stunned.
Of course I am never interested in asking help from Dr Cory to fix my nose again after he botched it.
After fired up phone call with clinic, I was annoyed again for everything I had to go through because of this botched nose.
I decided to share my pictures again so it might help others to make decisions.

Biggest mistake
I got primary rhinoplasty with Dr Cory Torgerson in 2018 and he left me with multiple deformities.
I saw a few doctors for revision consultation and they all told me it will be a very difficult revision with high risk because Dr Cory used "medpor implant " which is very hard to remove and the worst kind of implant to use for nose.
Revision surgery also will cost me more than $20,000 USD.
I feel like my life is over.
I don't feel comfortable with posting my pictures and more details about the surgery
However, if you want to get more information, private message me.
I have talked to many girls who got botched by Dr Cory Torgerson. They all suffered with similar issues. Most of them are hesitant to leave reviews in public.
Please don't make the same mistakes
