Natural photos of nose
I've been wanting to get rhinoplasty for a long time. I don't like the width of my bridge, I want my nostrils taken in and I don't like how wide my nose gets wide when I smile. Naturally when you go to multiple consultations, you're going to get the opinion of several different doctors. I've been told that the doctor will take in my nostrils with a small incision at both lower corners of my nose. Some want to slightly raise my tip. While others suggest not touching the tip at all. Other doctors have suggested making a full incision around the nostrils to help the nostrils from flaring and getting wide when I smile. I've had one physicians suggest placing graphs to fill the indentations near the tip of my nose.
Just Beginning my Journey
I'm not sure what to rate. I'm just beginning my journey. I have this memory when I was 20 yrs old of these girls making fun of my nose and ever since it's made me feel self-conscious. Fast forward 15 years and my nose is something that I focus on. I don't have a big nose or a bump, I'm more concerned about narrowing my bridge and bringing in my nostrils and, I don't like how wide my nose gets when I smile. I've met with several Drs and they have all said I would benefit from rhinoplasty. One Doctor did morphed photos and it DIDN'T look like anything was done! A few weeks ago I met with Dr G and the first thing he said was don't touch your nose. I was thrown off and felt nervous during my consult. On the contrary, he listened as I told him what I disliked. I told him I wanted a more feminine look. He responded, you look feminine. We talked about narrowing my bridge and taking in my nostrils, he advised me that he could not guarantee that my nose would not widen when I smile as that was due to facial muscles. He did say that I have a narrow tip and narrowing my bridge and nostrils would make it look nice. I'm scheduled to have surgery with Dr G April 26th and I'm excited but REALLY nervous. I admire his honesty, and I guess what bothers me, is I'm not sure he believes I need rhinoplasty. I've researched rhinoplasty and it seems most people end up getting a revision. This is something I've wanted for a long time but I'm nervous I'm going to regret it, or I'll pay the money and not notice any changes. I've read some patient reviews where Dr did exactly what they wanted but they still regret it. Some go through depression. Are these feeling all normal? Also, I have several trip planned for the end of May and summer. Will I look ok by then?
