1 year and 3 months post op

Hi again! It’s been a little over a year since my rhinoplasty and everyday I love my nose more! When I went in for my year check up, Dr. mentioned there still being a bit of water retention at the top of my nose which k have noticed. It’s a little swollen still but it doesn’t bug me. If I wear the tape overnight on my nose it relives the swelling and makes my nose cute and smaller haha. But overall extremely happy still and just looking forward to the swelling to continue to go down. He said it can take up to three years for the very tip of the nose swelling to go away. Patience is key :)

3 weeks post op

Bruising on my face is totally gone finally!! My breathing is slowly improving. I’m still stuffy some days. I can blow my nose to help clear it out now. I don’t use a tissue to blow - I just blow and wipe after because I don’t want to touch my nose and apply pressure to the outside. I’m still trying to sleep inclined and not let my nose touch the pillow. If I lay on my side I notice more swelling in the morning which goes away by the afternoon. I’m also still taping at nights. So obsessed with my nose though. The front of my nose looks a little big which is normal though from all the swelling. Such a patience tester! But so worth it.

Cast removal day

I got my cast removed today and I’m SO happy with results ???? Even though my nose and entire face (mostly my cheeks) are swollen, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. It’s perfect and exactly what I wanted and more. I still can’t breathe out of my nose as expected. My goodness though...when they said getting the stitches removed from the outside of my nostrils hurt - they meant it. The most painful thing I’ve experienced in a long time. It’s been the only hard part about the whole experience. Mine hurt extra because I had dried blood near my stitches! So make sure to clean your nose well. Anyways! I’ll continue to post as time goes by. :)
