How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Avoid Using Dr Pedroza from La Clinica La Font in Bogota Colombia
Hello everyone, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you my experience with Dr Pedroza and his clinic called La Font. I never post reviews or anything like that but I thought it would be good to tell you my personal experience. As many people who live abroad, I used google and youtube in order to find out reputable surgeons in Bogota. While I was looking for a surgeon, I found the videos that they had on Youtube and it made me feel secured and reassured because the results of the nose jobs they had done were good. For this reason, I decided to make an appointment and I travelled to Colombia. When I got to the clinic, I must say that people were very snobbish and they judged people based on what they look like and what they wear. Somehow, their staff think they are better than everyone else and they have this superiority that enables them to look down on people.
Now, in terms of the process and clinical interventions my experiences are the following:
- They have interns working for them. Therefore, on my first consultation, while I was explaining to Dr Pedroza why I wanted to have the surgery, there were at least three other people in the room learning from him and making notes. They do not even ask you if you would mind having interns during your consultation, they just assume that it is ok. Now, this might be stupid to some people but you do not really get the chance to get a careful and easy evaluation of your problem. It is a very stressful environment to communicate with Dr Pedroza as there are too many people in the room.
- They are also very CLEVER, and before I went inside to see Dr Pedroza, the nurse gave me some pills and meds and told me that these pills would reduce the pain and the swelling of my face. Therefore, they already had prepared in advanced a small bag of pills for me to take days before the surgery and free of charge. They did this without me even speaking to the surgeon or deciding if I wanted the surgery with them. It is like an inducement, where you are given something in order to create a positive perception.
- After being in the small room for a very short period of time with all these people, they took me to his main desk. He drew some stuff and touched my face to make some notes. We talked about the price of the surgery and he started to pull out envelopes and papers to confirm my surgery. He did not go in detail about what he was going to do and I assumed that was it. However, on my way to the hotel, I was not sure what he was going to do because he rushed everything and did not take the time to explain to me everything properly. Therefore, I had to make a second appointment to see him again because I had the feeling that he did not devote enough time to analyse my case as there were lots of people in the hall room waiting for him. (as the other person above said, this is because they do not care about your welfare, they just want to serve as many people as possible in order to increase their profit).
- Another interesting thing about them is that on my last revision appointment they asked me to take out my mobile phone so that they could record Dr Pedroza’s hands teaching me how to massage my nose after the surgery. As they are very CLEVER, then they asked me to be filmed with a professional camera telling people about my ‘positive experience’ so they can upload this content on Youtube to attract more people.
- My biggest mistake was that I relied too much on their marketing activities and Youtube videos and I thought that they had the skills and the knowledge they conveyed though these videos, but it was NOT the case. My result was not good enough and my self- esteem is even worst. Please do not make the same mistake like me and just because these awful surgeons publish their previous ‘good results’ it does not means they are good surgeons. These people only care about the money.
