Dr. Pedroza is the best surgeon for rhinoplasty, if not from Latin America I can be sure that if from Colombia, it is expensive, a little more than the average, but I do not want the peace of mind of putting my face to any other surgeon. I will tell you about my experience, my sister is a very vain woman, she had surgery on her body and wanted to operate her nose, she paid consultations with different surgeons in Colombia and after three months of looking for surgeons they decided to have an operation with Dr. Pedroza. I, I have never been a fan of surgeries because I like natural beauty, and I do not like to walk with a nose that looks operated, but when I saw the results of my sister I decided to go to see the Doctor, my nose was pretty, I only had a small nasal hump, finally I decided to operate also with the doctor and additionally I had a chin augmentation at the doctor's suggestion, the incredible results, always respecting the harmony of each face, delivering a super natural result, the recovery very fast, practically painless, my nose fully functional. Beautiful and natural as I always wanted. So much so that even my mother decided to also have a facial rejuvenation, with rhinoplasty and removal of biopolymers from the eyebrows, the very good result, clearly each final result will depend on the anatomy of each nose, but the doctor's technique is excellent. Again I say the best in rhinoplasty. Negative aspects: Consultations and appointments at Lafont can be delayed 3-4h on average, you have to wait, The cost is usually more expensive than other average surgeons Positive aspects: The doctor's experience has operated on almost all the queens of Colombia, super natural, harmonious, functional results, he has his own techniques to not leave any scars on the nose. The best.
I had my rhynoplasty/septoplasty last year with Dr. Pedroza and he is the sweetest Dr. I have ever met. I don't know why a few reviews on the internet lie or say bad things about him. My consult was 4 hours long and paid $125 for it (normal price for a consult for this same procedure in Bogota). I was hospitalized in his clinic the whole night after surgery and thats something that no other ENT surgeon does. He and his wife OWN the clinic. Their sons administer or also operate in there with them. They checked on me all night. And my nose didn't bleed because his technique is very neat. If you did your research right you would know that he has operated on most of Miss Colombia's candidates and winners. Some of them on youtube. So I am sure that if something went wrong either you didn't follow instructions or you are not telling the whole truth. His clinic is very professional and other surgeons know his quality because I spoke to a few after my surgery. My nose looks very natural and everybody admires it. I also live in the States. And one of the first things that he suggested was that I DIDN'T leave Bogotá after the surgery because he wanted to make sure that my nose was ok. I think is weird that nobody here that "had" gone through him, has said HOW MANY FOLLOW-UP appointments they went to after their procedures. Because let me tell you something: I had a follow-up appointment every 2-3 days, for 7 weeks. Yes. I went to Colombia and planned my surgery wisely. I stayed 9 weeks there total. So whoever is complaining should at least write down their real names here. Hey and the price $12,500, For your rhynoplasty is totally absurd. So get the facts right first before you lie. He does take the time with every patient as all the rest of his students doctors and professional stuff do. Everyone is very nice and even his doctors and stuff get the same surgery with him!!! That's a fact because I was there to see it. Now as you can see these are real pictures of me, in Clinica La Font. People would recognize the background if they have ever been there. He is nice and has good bed side manner but everything he did on my face has to be redone. and he is not cheap. To make manners worse his wife, who seems very self involved did my lipo and the only thing she removed was $5700 from my bank account. I recommend you find someone else. Not all was bad, my upper eyelid surgery was good.
Hello everyone, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you my experience with Dr Pedroza and his clinic called La Font. I never post reviews or anything like that but I thought it would be good to tell you my personal experience. As many people who live abroad, I used google and youtube in order to find out reputable surgeons in Bogota. While I was looking for a surgeon, I found the videos that they had on Youtube and it made me feel secured and reassured because the results of the nose jobs they had done were good. For this reason, I decided to make an appointment and I travelled to Colombia. When I got to the clinic, I must say that people were very snobbish and they judged people based on what they look like and what they wear. Somehow, their staff think they are better than everyone else and they have this superiority that enables them to look down on people. Now, in terms of the process and clinical interventions my experiences are the following: - They have interns working for them. Therefore, on my first consultation, while I was explaining to Dr Pedroza why I wanted to have the surgery, there were at least three other people in the room learning from him and making notes. They do not even ask you if you would mind having interns during your consultation, they just assume that it is ok. Now, this might be stupid to some people but you do not really get the chance to get a careful and easy evaluation of your problem. It is a very stressful environment to communicate with Dr Pedroza as there are too many people in the room. - They are also very CLEVER, and before I went inside to see Dr Pedroza, the nurse gave me some pills and meds and told me that these pills would reduce the pain and the swelling of my face. Therefore, they already had prepared in advanced a small bag of pills for me to take days before the surgery and free of charge. They did this without me even speaking to the surgeon or deciding if I wanted the surgery with them. It is like an inducement, where you are given something in order to create a positive perception. - After being in the small room for a very short period of time with all these people, they took me to his main desk. He drew some stuff and touched my face to make some notes. We talked about the price of the surgery and he started to pull out envelopes and papers to confirm my surgery. He did not go in detail about what he was going to do and I assumed that was it. However, on my way to the hotel, I was not sure what he was going to do because he rushed everything and did not take the time to explain to me everything properly. Therefore, I had to make a second appointment to see him again because I had the feeling that he did not devote enough time to analyse my case as there were lots of people in the hall room waiting for him. (as the other person above said, this is because they do not care about your welfare, they just want to serve as many people as possible in order to increase their profit). - Another interesting thing about them is that on my last revision appointment they asked me to take out my mobile phone so that they could record Dr Pedroza’s hands teaching me how to massage my nose after the surgery. As they are very CLEVER, then they asked me to be filmed with a professional camera telling people about my ‘positive experience’ so they can upload this content on Youtube to attract more people. - My biggest mistake was that I relied too much on their marketing activities and Youtube videos and I thought that they had the skills and the knowledge they conveyed though these videos, but it was NOT the case. My result was not good enough and my self- esteem is even worst. Please do not make the same mistake like me and just because these awful surgeons publish their previous ‘good results’ it does not means they are good surgeons. These people only care about the money.
Last year I went to Bogota, Colombia for a revision Rhinoplasty with one of the most famous doctors in Latinamerica, Dr. Fernando Pedroza. I want to write this review so that other people avoid going to this doctor, who claims to be one of the best in Latin America. I needed revision rhinoplasty and a doctor in my country recommended dr. Pedroza because he had heard him in a conference and he claims to be pioneer in his revision tecnique. I first contact them via Skype and everything seemed ok, the doctor was available anytime I called. Of course they selled me the doctor as the best of the best. When I arrived to Colombia I had an appointment with the doctor before the surgery. He is definetly a business man.. and he has sort of a scary market of noses in his clinique Clinica La Font. He does at least 10 rhinoplasties in a day and therefore he doesnt take time to analyze each case... It literaly took him 5 minutes to check me and analyze my case before the surgery, which was a very complicated one. He didnt even checked how was my nose inside. The main problen with this doctor and the hospital is that they are so money oriented that they attend all the possible patients, no matter what and that was part of my horrifying experience. After surgery I spent 1 week in Colombia, my nose was so swollen that I couldnt really judge the result, but I did see some problems like a big bump in my collumela which the doctor insisted it was ok. He said everything came out perfect. I returned to my country and the more my nose swelling started to decrease, I started detecting all the problems with my nose. The worst part was that I tried to contact the doctor via skyoe and he dissapeared. When I sent him pictures of my nose and all the problems he suddenly didnt want to attend my calls and concerns... In brief.. the surgery results where terrible. My nose had so many deformities much worst than before the surgery. The bump in my collumela was a cartilage graft that was coming out my skin... the tip of my nose had a deformed shape with one side of it totally indented and in my skin I had a fibrosis that I told him about before the surgery but he didnt resolve... If someone is planning to get a revision surgery with this doctor... you will probably find a lot of videos of him in youtube, as they do have an incredible marketing department... but try to find a good surgeon who will take the time to study your case, review the procedures with you and specially be available to give you a follow up. When you go through a revision surgery.. you really want to choose a doctor near you who can have the experience, time and patience to deal with your case... Updated on 18 May 2014: xxxx
