7 weeks post-op & rhinoplasty is the best thing I've ever done
ORIGINAL POST
Changed my Life
WORTH IT
Had my surgery on the 9th of jan 24, I’m now I’m now 7 weeks post op and I can honestly say it’s the best thing I have ever done, I was so hesitant about it as there was no guarantee it would come out how I wanted it to but it was better than I expected.
I was the girl that couldn’t post a photo without editing my nose on it, I was the girl who would feel uncomfortable because of my nose in social settings.
I’d spent years trying to find a surgeon to do my nose, I’d been to multiple consultations but no one felt right to me.
I found dr Hammaeh through social media, waited months for a consultation, the day finally come I met the lovely dr Hammaeh in oct 23, even after the consultation I wasn’t 100% because I was told there could be so many limitations but I decided I just needed to go for it and booked in my surgery for Jan 24.
Leading up to I was told absolutely everything I needed to know before surgery even down to where to park on the day. Kelly (dr Hammaeh’s assist) is the best ever, so helpful, so lovely and friendly and was there to help or answer any questions I had.
Actual surgery was fine, recovery just felt like having a bad cold, no pain, I think I took the co codamol twice n just had paracetamol when i felt like I needed it. Bruising was kinda bad the first couple days (from what I’ve seen everyone’s different, I’ve seen some people don’t bruise at all)it turned yellow pretty quickly, get arnica tablets, don’t bother with the cream as it burns your eyes. I think day 3/4 my face swelled so bad I literally turned into a square but only last a few days. I looked absolutely normal by the time the cast was coming off at 9 days. I’m a very active person so from 4/5 days post op I was up and about walking.
I’m so happy with my nose, I didn’t think it was possible for it to look like this. It’s sounds so silly but to be able to take a video of my face and upload it straight to instagram made me feel quite emotional.
Dr Hammaeh has changed my life and I’m so grateful. I couldn’t recommend him enough. If you’re thinking about it, go for it.
