WORTH IT
My friend had her rhino with Onur 2 years ago and I saw her result which I thought was fantastic. It made me want to go with him once I made the decision to go ahead. Below is my summary
Consultation: He was very clear in explaining the things that were wrong with my nose and gave me detailed explanations of the things he could fix and how he'd do it. Showed me photos of people with similar noses to me that he'd operated on before which really helped me tbh. Morphs were done from the side and we talked about these and he listened to what i wanted. Hes easy to talk to and I felt safe
Day of surgery: Had my op at harley street hospital. Turned up at 730am and was greeted by lovely staff. Alejandro the nurse checked me in, did my blood pressure and got me ready for surgery. Carlos the anaesthetic dr came and saw me and explained how id be put to sleep and put my mind at rest as i had never had anaesthetic before and was a bit worried i may wake up half way through! Onur saw me before surgery and we went over any last minute questions i had. I woke up in my room with the nasal packs in my nose and cast on top. Wasnt too painful although not being able to breathe through my nose was a bit strange. By 2pm i was feeling ok and went home.
Post op: I was really happy as soon Onur took my cast off as i had a pretty big dorsal hump which had now disapeared! My nose did look a bit weird though and i was worried it was very upturned. Onur told me this was normal due to swelling and would get better. By 3 months my nose looked wonderful! im now 6 months PO and if it stays like this ill be very very happy.
Overall: Onur and the team at his hospital were faultless. Im a nervous person in general but i felt safe and in good hands the whole time. The swelling does take longer than i expected to improve and for the first month i was worried my nose would look a bit too small and upturned for my face. But now (6months) my nose looks really good and im so pleased i finally made the decision to go ahead with rhinoplasty. Im lucky I had my friend go through her operation before me and put me in touch with Onur.
