Amazing Experience and Even More Amazing Doctor
I had nose surgery in April of 2025 with Dr. Julian Rowe-Jones.
The process, from start to finish, was incredibly well put together.
I contacted the Doctor via email, and was greeted by his two fabulous aides: Lisa and Sam. They guided me very well in navigating the entire process.
The doctor uses an online portal where all information is collected (pictures, tests, bookings, payments, etc.), and I was instructed to sign up to it, as it would make the process smooth. And it certainly did.
Having everything organized in one place, instead of having scattered emails all over the place is a brilliant idea.
After that, I was ready to get on a call with Doctor Julian Rowe-Jones.
Before he thoroughly explained the anatomical problems of my nose, he wanted to understand what my point of view was, approaching this surgery.
He wanted to understand what my priorities were and how I would rank them.
He then offered a very detailed explanation of what can and cannot be accomplished and how he would perform the surgery to reach those results.
After the meeting ended, the above-mentioned portal was loaded with a document recapping everything we talked about during the call. This was extremely helpful as I was able to re-read his notes and understand them even better.
Following that step, I had to have a conversation with a psychologist who was also very nice to talk to. She wanted to understand what my expectations were and if I would be a good candidate for surgery.
I had a call with the Mount Alvernia Hospital staff, to have an anamnesis. Their call was way more thorough than I could ever expect and I gained a lot of trust in them following the call, as their preciseness is trust-inspiring.
After clearing that step, it was time to meet Doctor Julian Rowe-Jones and his amazing wife Emma.
Several pictures were taken and we looked at the computer simulation of what could be accomplished in terms of final shape.
It was made clear to me that the computer simulation was a projection of what the final result could look like, but, obviously, it's still a simulation after all.
At no point during the entire process did I feel pressured into having the procedure.
I was asked several times whether this is what I actually wanted to do, and I appreciated that.
At Mount Alvernia Hospital, I was greeted by an amazing hospital staff, and I was confident that I would be taken care of very well.
My expectations were smashed completely because I was treated far far better than I could have ever imagined.
The level of care and expertise of all people involved was amazing.
Reflecting upon it, it makes sense that Doctor Julian Rowe-Jones would choose this hospital, as he sets an incredibly high bar for himself and everyone he collaborates with.
Since I was coming from overseas, I spent the night after the surgery at the hospital, following the suggestion of Doctor Rowe-Jones, and I was incredibly impressed by how well I was treated throughout the whole process.
The surgery itself lasted, I was told, since I was sedated, about 3.5 hours.
After I woke up, Doctor Rowe-Jones came to my room and explained to me how the surgery went and checked in on how I was feeling.
Emma and Doctor Julian Rowe-Jones prepared me extremely well before the surgery as what to expect and all of the things to do following the surgery, and to make sure I wouldn't have to remember everything they told me, they gave me very meticulously prepared documentation that made sure that no small detail was left out or forgotten.
After roughly one week, I took the cast off and I was extremely happy in looking at the results. Obviously, I knew the nose was going to be swollen and that there would be different levels of swelling within the same day, but I could see immediately the awesome results that the Doctor accomplished for me.
After I left Britain, I was told to contact Lisa and Sam at any point should there be any problem.
Thanks to the precise preparation given to me by Emma and Doctor Rowe-Jones, alongside their documentation, the recovery process was incredibly smooth with absolutely no set-back.
A week or so ago, I had a check in call with Doctor Rowe-Jones to catch up on how the recovery was going.
Doctor Rowe-Jones saw that my nose was looking very good and told me it is going to improve even further.
In conclusion, my experience was extremely positive. It is difficult to put in words how awesome he is and how amazing his results are.
As long as you precisely follow the recommendations given, the chances of set backs are approximately zero.
I would recommend anyone inquiring for nose surgery to strongly consider Doctor Rowe-Jones.
You will not be disappointed. In fact, the opposite is true: he will exceed your expectations, as he did mine.
