10/10 Experience from Start to Finish, Can’t Recommend Enough!

I began my journey to find a surgeon at the start of the coronavirus shut down in March. I found Dr. Reish after doing my research into NYC doctors and having multiple consultations. My FaceTime consult with Dr. Reish made me feel immediately comfortable, he answered all my questions, was very receptive to what I was unhappy with, and explained what he would do to address that. He informed me that this was his personal cell phone number and I could contact him at any time with questions, which I really appreciated. I took a while to schedule but during that time I didn’t feel pressured by the office to schedule anything or make a decision, they followed up once or twice but didn’t make me feel like they were only doing it for the money. Once I decided on going forward with the surgery, my patient coordinator, Debbie, was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions and emails quickly. When it came to the week of the surgery I got a call from my anesthesiologist who went over everything i would need to know and how to prepare for the next day. When I came for my actual surgery, I was a bit nervous but all my fears quickly subsided. I met my nurse (who’s name I can not remember but I wish I could) and she was incredible. She made me feel so comfortable by just talking me through what would happen that the day and what to expect. Dr. Reish then came in and took some photos of my nose and explained the process one more time, asking if I had any last minute questions. I loved that he always made sure I knew exactly what was going to happen, and what to expect after. He makes the experience personal to each of his patients and that was something that I truly appreciated and was different from all the other consults I had. The nurses in the operating room were amazing as well, one of them even mentioned she was looking at moving to my hometown which was something small but made me feel even more comfortable before going under for surgery. When I woke up afterward my nurse from the beginning was waiting with me and was very attentive (asking if I needed any water, if I was nauseous, and didn’t try to rush me out or anything after). The days following surgery were not bad at all. I slept most of the day (my surgery was at 8am and I left around 2pm). I drank a lot of smoothies the first two days because it was hard to eat with the gauze at first and you can’t taste anything. I took the prescribed pain pills to help me sleep just because sleeping at an angle isn’t something I was super used to. Would definitely recommend taking lots of walks to help with the swelling when you feel up to it, it definitely helps! The anesthesiologist and Dr. Reish both texted me the night of and the next day to make sure everything was going well and to check in- just goes to show that even though he had many surgeries that day he takes the time to check in and answer any questions you have! When I went in to get the cast off I got to see Rachel, Dr. reish’s PA, again (first time was for my COVID test a few days before surgery), and she made the process so painless and was very helpful in answering questions. When i finally saw my nose without the cast i was still pretty bruised and swollen in my cheeks but the result was BEAUTIFUL. I have never had a “cute” nose but when i saw it for the first time I was absolutely thrilled. Overall: The whole team was so kind and made my experience truly painless and worth every penny. I’m currently 4.5 weeks post op and my nose is still swollen but I can already see the amazing transformation and how perfect it looks already! I can not wait to see what the final-final product is going to look like. Huge thank you to Dr. Reish and his incredible team, I would recommend them 100x over.
