I was able to breathe through my nose immediately following surgery

First, I'm grateful to have found Dr. Pontell based on reviews from this RealSelf community. I've had two previous rhinoplasty surgeries. The last during which cartilage was grafted from my ear. My nose was drastically misshapen and a lot of scar tissue had built up. I was too challenging a case for most surgeons I consulted. Too risky to go back in. My first impression of Dr. Pontell was when he contacted me directly in response to a consultation inquiry I sent. Not an assistant...not a receptionist...he reached out directly...on a Saturday. He was warm, friendly, but more importantly, knowledgeable and confident. I'm currently two weeks post op. I will try to add some photos in a subsequent post, as I know that is most helpful. Although swollen, I can already tell my nose is perfectly symmetrical and has a better profile. I was able to breathe through my nose immediately following surgery. Only now do I realize what good aftercare is. Dr. Pontell stays in contact and sees you the following day for a cleaning. There were many steps pre and post surgery that I didn't experience with previous doctors. He is very precise and experienced. You won't be disappointed!
