Succesfull Revision with dr. Enrico Robotti

Also I forgot to mention the breathing, dr. Robotti fixed it! it feels so normal now, before revision, my nostrils were kind of closing and sticking when I was lying down, going to sleep, so I needed to open them with my fingers to be able to breathe, I was also wearing breathing pads. Now my nostrils are supported, stronger and stable, I have no breathing issues:)

In July 20.7.2020 I underwent a 6 hours complex rib- revision rhinoplasty with my dearest dr.Enrico Robotti in Bergamo. My revision surgery was 13 months after my primary surgery failed.

My original nose was larger roman nose (Lady Gaga), but structurally did not have enough cartilage to operate with in a first place. In only one shot, without warning given, my primary surgeon who happened to be very under-skilled and ego-driven person, took my case too easy, had depleted and ruined my nose technically and aesthetically in 50 minute closed technique, not leaving any stable support and left me with severe crookedness, upper bone residual (on right side), open roof deformity, internal and external valve collapse, paper thin empty tip and breathing issues.

I guess I don’t have to explain that I have payed high price for not taking enough caution and went to gamble with cheap rhinoplasty surgery that resulted in a lot of pain emotionally and mentally and almost ruined my professional career and private life. Healing went horribly wrong, my nose was in constant pain, I felt pressure, itchiness, literally water retention from swelling and for the first time in my life had to deal with severe panic attacks. Luckily I found my dearest dr. Robotti very quickly and started comunicating with him through emails. He was very kind and immediately responded to my concerned emails and questions. I started with intensive rhinoplasty research and knew I needed structural grafting rhinoplasty and that I only have one more chance to make it right. Not one surgeon in my country would operate on me, infact one of our greatest surgeon who received worldwide award for an outstanding sucessful case where he constructed a new nose on the patients forarm with 3D model (the patient had a total nose amutation due to skin cancer), warned me that another failed surgery will lead me to Michael Jackson case. So I was in a fear all year that my life and career are ruined and my life happiness was lying in hands and skills of another surgeon. Immediately when Robotti saw me on his consultation, he recognized my concerns and gave me his honest words; don’t worry I can fix this’. I came to his consultation already knowing all my rhinoplasty failures and I was really scared he could not operate me. At that time I was 4 months pregnant and needed to hear his confident words about fixing my nose, I was so fragile and anxious but being a happy and stable mother was really high on my priority list. I hardly waited for the revision surgery which took 6 hours and rib was necessary. After my cast went off, I was very swollen also due to my pregnancy hormones, especially my sidewalls were heavily swollen from the double osteotomies that dr.Robotti preformed and it was high summer and heat so I needed lots of patience for the initial swelling to go down. Even though the swelling was present I have to admit I did not had any pain or discomfort, it was truly different healing experience as this time my nose was actually recovering. After 6 weeks or so I started seeing nicer results, and within each month my nose began to feel healthier, stronger and more stable. My confidence grew back and after 6 months I finally got myself back with all the life strenght that I had before primary surgery. My result is not perfect and I never expected it to be. There is a slight assymetry in radix area but it doesn’t bother me as I rearly see perfect nose in real life. I have to say Robotti’s nose is better than my original nose, it looks natural and I absolutely like it and embrace it as my birth nose. Also I don’t think about it anymore and continue to work normally in my private business. Dr.Robotti help me gained my confidence, self-love and self-respect back for which I will forever be grateful. I am not present on this site anymore as I am very busy with my newborn and business, but wanted to share my experience with all of you seeking for revision informations. Hope it helps!
