My first rhinoplasty and the subsequent revision a couple of years later with doctors abroad left my nose overly trimmed at the tip, rotated upwards and just fake looking. After researching in academic journals and this website for long time I found similar cases to mine that could be corrected beautifully by Dr. Robotti. During the first appointment at his office he thoroughly talked me to through the steps, the expectations, risks, etc of the surgery and showed me many pictures of similar cases. One year later the six hours revision with rib grafting was performed. The team was nice and professional and most speak fluent English. Since I was on my own I had to stay two nights in the clinic right after the procedure, which is very expensive but really necessary because those days are hard. I urge you to take someone with you to Bergamo at least for the first few days to help you with daily life activities and keep you company. Luckily nurse Sara visited me a couple of times to do my wound dressings as instructed by the doctor and kindly helped me with other small tasks. There were no complications and the follow-up by the doctors was tight. It was possible to reach them any time. The swelling of the nose was noticeable during the first month (as I was told before surgery) and resolved slowly afterwards. After two months it looked already fine so I could even attend a wedding. After six months it looked more defined and smaller. Dr. Robotti continuously says that there are no perfect results but in my case I do believe he nailed it. I cannot find any imperfection in his work. To sum up my experience, it was absolutely worth it, the cost, the time, the traveling back and forth to Italy. I am very satisfied with the result as it looks natural and fits my face beautifully. I finally could stop thinking about my nose and regretting my poor past surgeries.
I came across reviews of Dr Robotti’s work online and booked an appointment for a consultation. After one bad primary and 2 unsuccessful revisions with other doctors, I was very anxious to even consider another surgery - my surgeries had resulted in scarring, bad breathing and visible deviation. At that point I wondered if there was any hope things could ever improve. During our consultation, Dr Robotti explained to me in detail what he intended to do and what improvements I could expect. He was very patient and attentive and I left the clinic reassured, knowing I was in good hands. It’s been two years since my surgery and I couldn’t be happier! Dr Robotti did a truly incredible job, restored my breathing and give me a naturally looking beautiful result. Dr Robotti is very knowledgable, professional and has an incredible expertise in rhinoplasty, and I will always be grateful for the time, effort and skill he and his team have invested to help me feel like myself again. Gazie mille, Dr Robotti.

I came to Prof. Robotti after three previous surgeries and various traumas to my nose. I was followed well in every step before and after the surgery and the surgery, even though my situation was not easy to operate on, went well. Now I effortlessly breathe and I like my nose a lot. Luckily for us, there are professionals like Prof. Robotti to entrust one self.
Dr Robotti and his team are incredible! After years of being rejected for further surgeries, following 3 failed rhinoplasty procedures, I found Dr Robotti and am now almost a year since surgery. The results exceeded my expectations and I can't thank Dr Robotti enough. I was able to go sunglass shopping today and properly look in the mirror and smile at how my nose looked. I never thought I would see that day. I travelled and stayed in Italy alone from the UK and was really anxious but I needn’t have been because the standard of care was so high. Thank you
About a year and a half ago, looking for a solution to two disastrous rhinoplasties, done in 2008 and 2015 respectively, I met Dr. Robotti. Up until that meeting, all the consultations I had done for a third rhinoplasty had resulted in the doctor's hesitation or warnings about relapses or worsening that I would have encountered over time despite a new operation. Unlike these opinions, Dr. Robotti was able to immediately evaluate my situation and explain to me what he could do and how he would solve my many problems. After the experience of multiple visits made over the years, at the first meeting, held in the Villa Sant' Apollonia clinic in Bergamo where I was then operated, I found myself in a very serious and professional reality. At that moment, after almost 17 years of dissatisfaction and frustration, I felt I had finally found the solution to my problems. Today, one year after the surgery, I can say that I am fully satisfied with the result and I am infinitely grateful to Dr. Robotti for giving me back my smile. If I had met the Doctor years ago I am sure that I would have saved myself years of problems and worries. Thanks again to the doctor and all his team. I advise anyone who approaches a rhinoplasty procedure not to look for economically advantageous or apparently "easy" solutions, if you have the opportunity it is absolutely worth meeting Dr. Robotti.
I am now one year post-revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Enrico Robotti, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the life-changing experience he has given me. In 2017, I underwent a primary rhinoplasty in Turkey which turned into a devastating nightmare. My nose was severely mutilated—over-shortened tip, collapsed side bones, removed radix and bridge, an open roof deformity, and asymmetrical nasal bones—leaving it crooked and unnatural. The procedure, meant to fix a deviated septum and remove a nasal polyp, instead caused severe breathing issues, landing me in the ER. When the cast came off, I was unrecognizable, with a wide, concave, and triangular nose that drew unwanted stares. I also suffered skin issues due to cast complications. On top of this physical devastation, the original surgeon ignored me, offering no support or solutions. I fell into deep despair and depression struggling with PTSD and suicidal thoughts. Determined to find help, I spent years researching and speaking with hundreds of patients who had undergone revision surgeries with top specialists. After extensive research, I made the life-changing decision to entrust Dr. Robotti with my case. I first met Dr. Robotti in Bergamo in 2023, and from the very first consultation, I knew I had made the right choice. His vast knowledge, kind demeanor, and genuine interest in helping me were unparalleled. He was honest about the possibilities and limitations of my case. He took the time to explain everything in detail and with clarity, ensuring that I fully understood the process, risks and have realistic expectations of the result. He was exceptionally professional and kind, and treated me with remarkable empathy. In 2024, the day before my surgery, I had another thorough consultation with him, during which he patiently answered all my questions, once again went through surgical plan and gave me all the information I need for my surgery. The next morning it was my surgery. Dr. Robotti and his team visited me in my room to review the surgical plan once again. His attention to detail and deep understanding of my wishes put my heart at ease. In this brief meeting he once again demonstrated me that he clearly understands my wishes. His team—Violet, nurse Sara, Dr. Giuseppe, anesthesiologist Dr. Berzai, and Francesco—were incredibly kind, professional, and supportive. Their compassionate care made all the difference. Dr. Robotti performed nothing short of a miracle. I never thought it was possible for anyone to rebuild a nose as severely damaged as mine, but he did. He restored harmony to my face, corrected all the deformities and issues. The results are astonishing—I now have a beautiful, natural-looking nose that closely resembles my original one, something I never thought I would see again. Choosing Dr. Robotti was the best decision of my life. He didn’t just restore my nose—he restored my confidence and happiness. His skill, compassion, and the way he treated me healed both my appearance and my soul. A true legend and the king of revision rhinoplasty, the best of the best in every meaning, I will forever be grateful for his expertise, kindness and dedication. Grazie mille, caro dottore! God bless you and grant you long, healthy and happy life.
I had surgery with Dr. Robotti almost five months ago for a complex revision rhinoseptoplasty. Despite my low expectations for a satisfactory aesthetic-functional result, Dr. Robotti far exceeded them. My first surgery was 12 years ago at the hospital in my city in Italy. The issues were related to a deviated septum, a dorsal hump, and turbinate hypertrophy, which caused breathing difficulties. The outcome was disastrous: two completely different profiles, not corrected deviation, and a septum perforation. It took me years to find the courage to undergo another surgery after that traumatic experience and to trust a surgeon again. I feared trusting another incompetent doctor and ending up in an even worse situation than before. Fortunately, that didn’t happen. Once I gathered the courage, I spent two years researching the best Italian surgeons specialized in secondary rhinoplasty and reconstructive procedures. That’s when I came across Dr. Robotti’s name and booked an appointment. During the first visit, which was detailed and thorough, the doctor explained the aesthetic issues and functional damage of my nose, emphasizing the complexity of the procedure, the limitations, and the risks involved. I left that first visit feeling very discouraged and took some time to reflect on whether the surgery was truly worth it. The decision wasn’t easy; this had to be my final surgery, and I didn’t care about the cost – I just wanted to resolve the issues that had been affecting me. In the end, I found the courage, and with determination, I decided to go ahead with Dr. Robotti. It was hands down the best decision I could have made. The surgery lasted about five hours, and it went even better than expected, even for the doctor: the septum was corrected and straightened, the tip was reshaped to fix its aquiline form, and the two profiles are much more symmetrical than before (due to the natural asymmetry of my bone structure, this was the best possible outcome). Most importantly, the fistula was closed with grafts taken from the septum and rib cartilage. Since my skin is very thin, the doctor used a “camouflage” technique with rib grafts to make the dorsum even smoother and free of visible defects. The aesthetic result is surprising, almost resembling a primary rhinoplasty, and my breathing has significantly improved. I had expected a complicated, physically and mentally draining recovery, but it turned out to be much easier than anticipated! The first two days were difficult due to the anesthesia, and the first five days were the most physically challenging. However, after the first week, everything got much better. I followed the post-operative instructions from the doctor and his team exactly. From the start, my nose looked harmonious, with minimal swelling and no pain. The taping has helped me achieve a well-defined shape while reducing the swelling. Today, five months later, I can confidently say my nose gets more beautiful every day. The scars are nearly invisible, to the point where my nose doesn’t even look like a secondary rhinoplasty anymore. Choosing Dr. Robotti and his impeccable team was the best decision I’ve ever made. I am incredibly proud of it. I want to thank him and his wonderful team: Dr. Leone, Dr. Barzoi, Dr. Cottone, the nurses, the collaborators, and Francesca. I had almost lost hope, thinking my situation could never be resolved, but thanks to Dr. Robotti, I’ve regained my trust in doctors, and more importantly, in myself.
I discovered Professor Robotti by chance, but it turned out to be one of the most important discoveries of my life. After three previous surgeries—two as a child to correct a congenital malformation and one in Paris for aesthetic purposes—I found myself with serious functional issues. For two years, I suffered from recurrent sinus infections, severe dizziness, and intense headaches. Despite undergoing numerous medical tests and consultations, doctors couldn’t pinpoint the cause. But for me, it was obvious: my last surgery had not only failed but had worsened my condition. In 2023, a doctor in Paris recommended a surgeon in Italy, telling me: "If he can’t help you, I don’t think anyone in Europe can." That’s how I found out about Professor Robotti. Being originally from Bulgaria but having lived and studied in Italy, I immediately looked him up and booked an appointment. I had to wait almost a year for my first consultation. From the very first meeting, his team welcomed me with great professionalism and warmth, explaining in detail the entire process, the risks, and the realistic expectations of the surgery. Professor Robotti convinced me with his clarity, precision, and above all, his deep sense of humanity—something that I believe is rare in this field. He was honest from the beginning, telling me that I shouldn’t expect miracles, but that he would do his best to give me not only a more aesthetically pleasing nose but also one that functioned properly. I had no doubts, and I underwent surgery in March 2024. The operation lasted six hours and went perfectly, thanks to an exceptional medical team. It was a challenging journey, but I want to emphasize that plastic surgery is not a game. It is not about achieving absolute perfection—perfection, if it exists, is within us, not in Instagram filters. Anyone who expects to wake up with a brand-new, flawless nose without any obstacles is mistaken. The process is 100% manageable, but it is not magic. For me, the most important part of this journey was the personal growth that came with it. A different nose can change your life, especially when you are in the right hands—and Professor Robotti is undoubtedly the right person. My case was particularly complex, and nine months after my primary surgery, I needed a minor follow-up touch-up under local anesthesia. Now, almost a year after my main surgery, I can confidently say that miracles do exist—especially when we put our trust in extraordinary professionals like Professor Robotti. Today, I breathe perfectly, better than ever before. My nose looks so natural that no one who doesn’t know me would ever suspect I had undergone surgery. And that, in my opinion, is the hardest thing to achieve in modern aesthetic surgery: true elegance and an innate sense of beauty, both of which Professor Robotti masters. I still have a small scar from my childhood surgeries, which I am treating with laser therapy. It may never fully disappear, but I accept it as a part of myself and my journey. Thanks you from the bottom of my heart to Professor Robotti and his amazing team! Savina Nikolova
I underwent primary rhinoseptoplasty in Dec. 2021 with a highly-esteemed, rhinoplasty specialist (plastic surgeon) in my homecountry (Bucharest, Romania) - the technique used was let-down preservation under closed approach. The aim for my first surgery was to obtain a natural, more refined result, that would keep my character (lenght, height) and also improve function by septoplasty and turbinoplasty. Unfortunately, the surgery ended up with worsened function and aesthetic result that did not meet my expectations (artificial, overshortened). I consulted with two european renowed surgeons (one specialized more in ear graft and one specialized more in rib graft). After lots of research and consulting with Dr Robotti (virtual and in-person + CT-scan) I decided to undergo revision rhinoseptoplasty with rib grafting, based on: his experience with rib grafting, high skills, extensive knowledge, proper case assesment and similar case management. My surgery was scheduled on May 8th 2024. We had virtual consultation, in person consultation (one year before) and two more discussions preliminary to the surgery day (right before the surgery recap and one day before). Consultation-wise, I found that Prof. Robotti took his time to listen to my needs both on virtual and in-person consult, and demonstrated what he could achieve, based on previous similar cases experience and my CT scan. Taking time to communicate (effectively!) and setting realistic expectations is a key component of any case management. Surgery-wise, I had all the pre, intra and post-operative care I needed. I made sure to respect all the indications regarding taping, medication and cleaning religiously. The hilotherm device did a difference in making my first week more bearable and I strongly advise having it with you during the first week of recovery. Compared when cast came off in the first week, the nose looked a lot different than now. Swelling does subside, just trust the process. Regarding the aftercare, It's been 10 months since my surgery, and I skipped taping only twice. It does make a big difference. Also, when I consume alcohol and dairy, my nose gets stuffy, therefore I consume them rarely. Regarding the discomfort at the rib prelevation site, when I train with heavier weights, I tend to feel slight dicomfort, but it gradually improved and one should take proper time to readjust the gym routine untill full healing. All in all, I wish anybody reading this all the good luck in finding the right surgeon for you. I wish I came here in the first place. I'll keep this post updated.
