A Dream Revision Septorhinoplasty Experience
Review for Mr Charles East
I'm a guy and my nose was broken when I was a child. I had my first rhinoplasty done to improve my breathing and appearance as a young adult years ago. I saw a small improvement in both categories but I still hated what my nose looked like from certain angles in photos and videos. It didn't suit my face and it reminded me of the trauma but I was worried about going forward with another surgery for many years.
When I decided to pursue a revision, Mr Charles East was my first choice based on my thorough research and I'm not disappointed. The entire process was amazing. I wish I had decided to see him sooner.
The pandemic understandably delayed everything to an insane degree but the email communication, online and in person consultations, the surgery and the aftercare have been perfect. I felt listened to, understood, we set reasonable expectations instead of me expecting unspecified "perfection" that doesn't exist.
We discussed every little detail like straightening the bridge, changing the tip rotation, the tip shape and size, tip projection, the small natural asymmetry of my skull based on a 3D scan, all the angles that I liked or disliked. Mr East suggested some changes that would compliment the rest of my face well that I wasn't even aware of -- noses don't exist in a vacuum after all, it's all about balance.
None of this was discussed with my first surgeon years ago, with whom I could barely communicate and I just hoped blindly that the result would be somehow ok. Conversations like this also don’t happen with surgeons who give everyone the exact same nose regardless of their race, gender & what it would look like on their face. Let’s just say I learnt my lesson since then and I did a lot of research for round two.
It's now been a year since my revision surgery with Mr East and I think that most, if not all, of the swelling is completely gone. It's been fascinating to observe small changes month to month, and the first few months have been truly wild. My nose looks completely different now than weeks after the surgery. I looked well enough to go out soon after the procedure but now with the swelling gone, it has become much sharper and smaller instead of round and piggy-like or bigger, broken and crooked like it was before the intervention.
I love the final result. People have been complimenting my overall appearance and the nose itself more than ever in my life but no one who knows me could even tell what exactly has changed about me.
Every detail of the nose has changed but in a subtle way, so I still look like myself, but my features are more balanced to anyone looking. I also carry myself with a newly found confidence because naturally I like what I see in the mirror and I'm getting nothing but positive feedback from everyone around me. Pretty privilege sure does exist and if you connect pursuing those external upgrades with some inner work on your mind & personality then you you’ll get the best result.
Now I have a nose that suits me completely, my breathing & the resonance when I sing or speak has improved & it looks like a completely natural result in harmony with the rest of my face.
Nose width in relation to the eyes & nose projection to my chin projection is optimal, forehead to nose angle is still looking quite masculine, the tiniest bump was created so the nose doesn’t look artificially “scooped out” and feminine like a cheap surgery from Turkey that anyone can spot from afar. The scar from the open technique is completely invisible now too. Mr East is aware of every detail and you’re definitely in good hands.
Lastly, I must mention that Giulia has been incredibly supportive and helpful too, answering all my questions and addressing my concerns from beginning to the end and she has made the entire experience truly safe and enjoyable.
Thank you guys so much for everything and I wish you all the best in the future.
