I know a lot can change in five years. Especially with rhinoplasty/ revision results- things continue to heal for a long time and change with aging.

5 years on, I am still so glad I found Dr. Bitner for my revision. I was so scared to go back under and trust someone with my face again after a disappointing primary rhinoplasty with someone else that left me with a pointed and longer nose than I started with. I felt so much regret, shame, and blamed myself. I questioned- could I have done more research? Was this the price of being vain? Was I blinded by my desire for looking a certain way?

It might sound ridiculous but these are the thoughts that go through your head for the years that you walk around with something you are ashamed of on your face.

But I am breathing so great now, and my nose is NORMAL. Some might even say cute. No one has ever said it looks "done".

And Dr. Bitner has always been respectful, conservative, and never pushed me to do more than what I wanted. I even reached out during a time of insecurity about other impulsive procedures, and he gently encouraged me to think twice about it. I appreciate that in a surgeon. I didn't do those things. He is not just after money.

5 years on, my nose is much more pliable. After a intial rhinoplasty (by another surgeon) and then revision, it was hard as a rock for a long time. I had swelling in the nasal valves for at least 3 years. Today it feels like it has always been my nose.

If you need a revision, I highly reccomend at least consulting with this surgeon. He is reasonable, kind, and responsive.

I’m going through a terrible time right now from my first Rhinoplasty. The self blame/ torture feels unbearable at times and I feel like I’ll never get out of it. It’s a scary feeling. I wish I would have done everything differently and that I could go back in time.

Hi friend. I would be so happy to chat with you via DM's about how you are feeling. It was a huge turning point for me when I was able to get out of that mentality, both for my rhinoplasty journey and my overall self-image. Please send me a message if you'd like to talk!

Wanted to share all the angles. My original rhinoplasty was when was 32 (6 years ago).

I was scared to have a revision after my failed primary rhinoplasty.
I am so glad I went to Dr. Bitner. He is kind and did a great job. This is several years later. Look at my other photos to see the improvement!

You're so beautiful and special looking. I think Bitner understands actual beauty - like screen siren beauty. Your journey has consistently given us all hope.

Thank you sooooo much for your continued posts. I met with Dr. Bitner and really liked him, but am very nervous about doing a revision. My nose isn't horrible, but I have a bossae that has formed and I am concerned it will get worse, but also don't want to risk not liking my surgery. I think your nose looks so natural and compliments you. If you get a chance, can you tell me how you determined to use Dr. Bitner over other surgeons?

Shopgirl3333 i can't really say much, I'm afraid. Its a very personal decision. I met with him, like you, and looked at his work, and felt confident in him.

Several years post revision

I know many people get revisions and move on with their lives, and I understand! But I also appreciate the support and information this site provides to people undergoing or considering undergoing surgery, so I'm here to offer an update several years after my revision.

I am still very grateful I went to Dr. Bitner and have no regrets- he is a kind man and skilled surgeon. I have fully forgotten that I got I ever had another nose to begin with, let alone a botched primary rhinoplasty, and that is a gift! Dr. Bitner allowed me to move on with my life and feel confident that my nose is no longer a problematic feature. What a blessing!

If I am being picky (which of course we all are), I don't *love* the 3/4 (oblique) view and my nostrils have retracted quite a bit after I requested that the alar batton grafts (I think that's what they were called) from my primary, by another surgeon, be removed. I chalk it up to how my body healed and *not* to my surgeon's skill. The tip is significantly less pointed than post primary, but is not as soft or rounded as it was after the revision or touch up. It just wants to be pointy. Also, it is a bit 'droopier' than initially after my revision; Again, probably due to how it healed which is beyond the surgeons' control. If I had my 'druthers', it would be more rounded and lifted at the tip, and that would be 100% perfect. But I'm not unhappy with my outcome, and the profile is very striking. The way our noses look right after surgery, or even in the months where it is still healing, often changes as things settle in and heal. Keep that in mind!

Thank you Considerate! I feel grateful to have found Dr. Bitner and achieved a sense of 'naturalness'. I told a good friend about it recently (whom I didn't know 'before') and he said he NEVER would have suspected I had had a nose job. That was nice to hear! Natural is great. Just like if I had been born with a different nose. Perfect? No, but not at all problematic!

Thanks for sharing! Very nice results, and I would not think your tip is the least bit pointy.

Thanks! I had a very rounded tip before my primary, so I think that contributes to a different perspective. I had initially wanted to keep that roundness, just make the nose smaller, but the primary left me with an even longer nose (seriously, I'm not sure how) and extremely pointed. I guess it just stuck in my head that way and it's hard to unsee!

Thank you so much for sharing! Your nose looks lovely. I am considering a revision as well, so it was comforting to see your great results and happiness.

Hi! Have you had a revision? I remember being really afraid that things would go badly again, or be even worse. It can be scary for sure.
