$10,500
So Ian 3 weeks out from my revision. My experience with Dr. G is very similar to others. The pre and post op apt are very quick. I had an email consult first last year. I was told that it would be $8,000. I contacted them this year to set up my apt and was told the price would be $8,500. I was using insurance also. I make my apt and put down my deposit. Since I am using insurance I had to fly out 6 weeks prior for a consult. When I got there, I did the paper work and waited a bit. When I met him it was ok. He is not very personable but he's not really rude either. He was very quick and I didn't feel like he listened to me very well. I could tell he already had an idea of what he would do. I really liked his results so just decided to trust him since he has great results. He told me I had a hole in my septum and it was deviated. I told him I had trouble breathing from the right side. He then tells me the price is now $10,500. I was kinda taken back because I was already quoted a price but now I had already put down my deposit and felt like with the money I had spent to go out there I had to follow through. So I did. I made sure to take him my before my primary rhinoplasty pictures and the operation notes. He did say he wished I would have came to him with that nose. I asked him about filler as I have lost some weight and my face is long anyway. I always lose it in my face first. He kinda blew me off, he said I didn't have any wrinkles and to leave my face alone. Now I am trained in aesthetic consults. I know I have volume loss. I am 42. After I had gotten home I was worried that maybe we weren't on the same page. I had already been through one surgery that was a total disappointment on in many ways. I did not want to be disappointed again. So I emailed him pictures of my face and pictures of my wish noses. I also asked again about a fat transfer or fillers. He said don't worry, your nose will look better and no fillers. I felt a little better but still like he didn't care as much. The day of surgery was fine. We went over what he would do. I took his finger and ran it down my nose so he could feel the bony part that was on it. He said yes I see that, I said well the last surgeon said the same thing and look at it now. So off I went and my recovery has been pretty text book. At the cast removal it was sooo quick. I didn't get any instructions from him except to tape at night. When I saw my nose, I was a bit disappointed because I had prepared myself for the pig look, but I didn't really see that. It was very swollen and looked big still. I blew it off knowing all that and just waited. My swelling started going down pretty quick. I knew I could see a bump. I felt it and it was hard like none. I new then it wasn't going to be right. So for today I am thinking that will need fixed. I wasn't prepared for the fact that with smaller nostrils it's strange to breathe. I fell like I can't get enough air in. My right side still feels worse than my left. I am hoping it's just swelling but I already can tell that nostirl is smaller than the other one. My tip is very round and I am hoping that is swelling and will go down. The profile looks better but the first is a concern. The bump makes it look crooked and it's not a small nose by any means. I am suppose to email him at 4 months to give him an update. I will let you all know what he says. Another trip out there even if he fixes it, is still money I have to come up with. Bummer. I am also going to find a local Dr. For fillers.

Hey all I am still healing I feel like but I will tell you what is up so far. The inside of my right nostril is way smaller than my left. It's only slightly noticeable from the front. The left side of my nose is the best side looks and function. The right side has a bump on the side of the bridge which can make it look crooked in certain light. I have a divot in the tip that is pretty noticeable in pictures and to me but my daughter says she doesn't notice it a lot. It's way better than it was but its not as small and cute as I hoped for. My main concern is the function of the left nostril. I feel like maybe I still have a valve issue there. I'm still swelliing too so we will see what the next 5 months reveal.

I think your nose looks very nice. It will shrink much more. Hopefully, the functional problems will resolve when you are all healed.

Just wondering did he perform closed procedure? I know you were concern of the size of your tip and most doctors suggest open when it comes to the tip. I can't believe you still can see so many imperfections. I know you can't expect perfection but this surgeons is top surgeon and top money you spent. I'm upset to read you are experiencing this. I really feel bad. I hope it gets better :) hang in there! Oh yes one more thing... Do you trust him to do a revision? Do you trust anyone? Sorry again.

@diamondgirl she is still early in her healing at 6 months postop so there is no reason to be upset. He nose looks greatly improved with this revision and hopefully he functional issues will resolve once she is healed.

@Lavana2017 that's true she's only 6 months out. Changes are still happening.

Looking great so far and it will shrink more in the coming months. Hopefully, the functional issues will resolve soon.

Making plans for my check up
JdurkeeMarch 28, 2018
I will be making my plans soon to see Dr. G for my check up. Nothing no has changed since my last update. I think I have a collapsed valve on the right and my breathing is obstructed a bit. The indent is still noticeable. I have a bump on the right side that makes it look slightly crooked. I would like it fixed but will see how he handles it and if he is willing to take care of it. I am still swelling at night but it honestly looks better that way because then you can’t see the imperfections! I am not happy about doing this yet again but I’m not leaving it either!

I am booked for May 10. Apparently they had a 3 month wait for a post op. My nose is fine functionally but I hate how it looks. He thought my pictures are fine but I am hoping in person he will see what I see.

I had my first rhinoplasty with him in January 2018 and he ruined my nose. Just know that when you go to see him afterward about issues he will not care and try to convince you that you look great. I cried in front of him when he told me he couldn't fix the things he did. When I would email him he would shrug me off. Just so unbothered and ignorant to his mistakes after you've payed the money. I hope your nose turns out ok. I just got a revision a few weeks ago by a much better doctor though thankfully and now my nose looks alot better.
