How much a nose can change

WORTH IT$6,000
It’s really wild how much a nose can change. Immediately my second revision with Yildirim, my nose looked pretty perfect. Then the swelling went down and it started to change. I was so triggered that the whole nightmare was happening again. It looked kind of crooked, my nostrils seemed to be retracting and doing so unevenly. I thought I was going to be stuck in a cycle of surgeries for the rest of my life. I continued to wait it out and it continued to change over the 1 year mark. Just another reminder not to judge your results early on… like I’ve stupidly written reviews less than a month post-op, that is not your final nose! Even at 8 months, my nose was not done. I’ll attach pictures of my nose today compared to before my most recent surgery, after surgery and today. Try to be patient! I had decided I was botched before I was fully healed, but I’m happy with the results today.

Love that my nose is so much like my dad’s

Love that I look even more like my dad after my second revision. So blessed to see your face on mine every day. RIP dad <3 it’s crazy that surgery gave me a nose that looks more like my bio family than my birth nose!

*7 year post-second rhino revision update*

It’s been 7 years since I had my second revision with Dr. Alpaslan Yildirim in Instabul, Turkey. It’s still crazy to think that I traveled that far to have the procedure that everyone in my family said I shouldn’t do, but I knew with certainty I had to. I knew I would be forever miserable with my current nose. Dr. Portuese (in Seattle) performed my initial revision and it had turned out so great initially, but slowly morphed into a Polly beak deformity (see my other review for the visual decline from cute nose to beak). I was extremely depressed. When I went to his office with my concerns, he dismissed them and told me I had body dysmorphic disorder. He admitted my nostrils were flared, but downplayed it noting even his wife has flared nostrils. In an effort to console me, he asked me to put my leg on his lap and he stroked it. It was odd. I think he’s capable of great work, but unable to take ownership of mistakes or take the steps needed to make it right, which is unfortunate. To correct the deformity, I went to Dr. Yildirim after seeing before and after photos of his ability to correct very complex cases. Now, 7 years later, my nose is not perfect, but it is MUCH improved. It’s allowed me to live my life again and that’s all I’ve ever wanted.

Also, I didn’t realize it until more recently, but my latest revision looks so much like my dad’s nose, which has been such a gift. He passed last year and I love seeing his face on mine. We’ve always looked alike but definitely more so now <3
