Corrected the septum but disfigured the shape of my nose
ORIGINAL POST
Very Bad Experience.
This is a long overdue review.
Mr Randhawa carried out a revision septorhinoplasty on me 7 years ago through the NHS at Royal ENT in London.
He managed to successfully correct the septum issue but in terms of the shape of my nose it would be fair to say that he disfigured me. He did not care to address existing scar tissues present due the to previous surgery. This resulted in a very bulky bridge and bulbous tip that he did not care to treat with steroid injections afterwards.
Furthermore, the open incision was badly sticked. Finally, the bridge of my nose was badly affected by large broken capillary, something that I did not experience the first time around. I had to treat the broken capillaries with laser at a private clinic.
This experience traumatised me and put me off to correct these issues until a few weeks ago, when I finally had the courage to undergo a revison privately and have it sort it out and I couldn't be happier with the results. The shape is perfect already even though swelling will go even more with time. Incision scar is sorted and I did not have any issues with broken capillaries.
I am not sure if Mr Randhawa was trying to teach me and others a lesson: get off the NHS's back. I can see that others praise him for his work but I just had to write my experience and worn others.
