Revision rhinoplasty, laser resurfacing and neck/lower face lift

I have been wanting to have a revision Rhinoplasty for many years. I have a technically difficult nose (thick skin). My nose is now drooping and has a thick tip.
I know that finding an extremely talented and experienced surgeon for rhinoplasty- especially revision- is imperative.
After a LOT of research (and I was willing to go almost anywhere for an excellent physician and ,even more importantly, safe facility) I found Dr. Achih Chen at The Georgia Center- less than an hour from my house. This surgeon is highly qualified and much in demand. He only does facial/neck surgery and has an excellent reputation.
There was a 2 month wait for a consultation but I was extremely fortunate to be able to take a cancellation appointment and got in in about a month.
The Georgia Center is a free-standing facility and is well maintained. The staff are very kind and helpful. Dr. Chen listened carefully to me and repeated back what he understood me to want. He was very honest as to the difficulty of my nose revision. I was already aware that with thick skin it is much harder to drape and mold it but he felt he could achieve significant improvement.
I also mentioned that I wanted whole face laser resurfacing and a neck lift. Dr. Chen does not do a neck lift on its own- it is coupled with a lower face lift otherwise excess skin will bunch around your ears.
I explained that I wanted to get the work done as fast as possible as my daughter is getting married in February and I know that it takes some time for all the healing to subside and the redness from the resurfacing to dissipate.
Even tough Dr. Chen is booked up into the spring of 2020 he does take into account special occasions and long story short, when a patient needed to postpone their surgery I was able to get the spot.
I am having the surgery at the end of this week. I am nervous just because it is surgery but am excited to see the results!
I will hopefully update my recovery and have pictures.

I am looking forward to seeing the final results. Obviously the redness and swelling will last for some time but excited to see how it evolves. Dr. Chen is a talented and competent physician so I believe I am in good hands. I will post more after the procedure.

Yesterday I had my whole face laser resurfacing, revision rhinoplasty and neck/lower face lift.
Everything is obviously very red and swollen but I am so happy with how Dr. Chen lifted my nasal tip! I can't wait until all the swelling goes down.
The surgery went really well yesterday and it took about 5 1/2 in total. It was performed under deep sedation but not general. I have some periods of post-op amnesia but did well through the rest of the day.
Last night was pretty miserable - Dr. Chen warned me that the compression bandaging around me head that tightly flattens the ears against the head was extremely uncomfortable. Again, Dr. Chen warned me so it wasn't a surprise. Also, I had quite a bit of pain under my chin (compression was very tight on the incision there). Even though redness and swelling of my facial skin looks horrible, it really only feels like a bad sunburn- hot, tingling, itchy and burning but certainly the least of the discomfort. Lastly, I had a killer headache. All in all it was a long night but I think it will get better from here.
Today Dr. Chen came to my hotel room and changed the dressing- thank heavens- to a less tight one (pictured).
On Tuesday I can remove this dressing, wash my face and take a shower! I return in 10 days and get my sutures out.
I plan to keep posting pictures through my recovery.
I am very, very impressed with Dr. Chen, his facility and his staff.
