The Hype on Dr. Reish is Real!
The Hype on Dr Reish is Real!
My Rhinoplasty journey has been a long disappointing one to say the least. I actually had 3 previous surgeries (2013, 2014, 2019) which is both frustrating and embarrassing to admit. Before my first surgery, it was difficult to even say that I wanted a Rhinoplasty. So I ended up picking the first surgeon I went to without doing any research, which was a huge mistake! She did a closed procedure, which I definitely recommend against. Immediately after the surgery I was BEAT UP!! I mean forehead super swollen, eyes swollen, cotton stuffed up my nose and only able to breathe out of my mouth. I looked like Sloth from Goonies. Most uncomfortable week of my life. In the weeks/months after the surgery, I developed massive scar tissue that gave me a parrot-shaped nose. 1 year later she went back in to try and fix the problem. It wasn’t good when she took the cast off it was basically...see you later this is what you get. Fast forward to 2019 I did some research and picked a surgeon in my area that had good reviews. He had complications during the surgery which threw him off and the results were barely better. The first 3 days of recovery were some of the most painful days of my life. I went through the 20 pain killers in 3 days and needed more. It was so painful. Sorry for the long background just wanted to paint the picture.
Now for Dr. Reish. At this point, I knew I needed to try one more time and was willing to go to any doctor in the country (I drove almost 7 hours for the procedure). I did a lot of research this time and it was obvious that he was the guy. I really liked the Q and A on YouTube. It’s clear he’s very confident in what he does. Secondly, just read the reviews on Real Self. You don’t get a rating/reputation like that by accident. I really like that he doesn’t want previous surgeons notes and doesn’t do computer mock-ups. I think the computer mock-ups are a selling tool and inaccurate.
Look he’s a busy guy and my experience with him was very straight to the point. We did 2 virtual consultations which were 5-10 mins. He knew exactly what needed done and he’s very confident in his abilities.
My surgery was just yesterday and from the min I walked into the hospital until I left was efficient and flawless. Before surgery, he came into my waiting room and met for 10 mins to go over the plan again and it was like ok see you upstairs. His anesthesiologist and nurse were both awesome too.
You may ask yourself how are you this confident in him 1 day after surgery. Well, my pain level is a 1 and I feel great, no discomfort which is something I never experienced or expected.
I don’t plan on perfect results after 3 previous surgeries. There are certain things out of his control which is a bummer like my pore size, skin smoothness, and the skins ability to shrink wrap, although I’m still hopeful it’s good. I am 10/10 happy I went with Dr. Reish. Just go with him.
