Revision Rhinoplasty - Best Dr. Ever

NattG
I had a revision done by Dr. Nimai. February 2021 after being completely botched by another surgeon in Los Angeles CA. After many months of research I decided that Dr. Nima would be the one that I can trust with this procedure. Revisions are extremely complicated but I’m grateful that Dr. Nima was very assuring of the results, and was there for me through this whole process. It brings you down mentally and emotionally to be in a situation like this but I’m glad there’s hope.
Consultation and experience:
I live in the bay area and sent over photos to traci who was very helpful and informative about Dr. Nima and his practice. In addition to providing as much detail as possible. I had my in person consultation in November 2020 where we were able to meet and go over my expectations and what will need to be done to fix my nose. I will say that my nose was terrible, it was pinched and one nostril was left higher than the other (through an alar base reduction from previous surgeon), in addition I was having a hard time breathing and my nose was externally runny all the time. My nose was also crooked and the tip was left squared, it was a nightmare and hard to look at myself for a whole year. Thankfully my previous surgeon did not touch my septum so we decided to use my own septal cartilage to rebuild my nose and provide me more volume since it was very skinny and crooked. My nostrils were another thing that bothered me a lot. And unfortunately that is very hard to correct.
For my pre op consultation Dr Nima and I went over any additional questions and expectations again to make sure we were on the same page. I had to get many blood test done, in addition to about three Covid test. His office provides all of the instructions and after care. They’re the best at making sure that you get everything done on time. I also received a kit that included arnica pills to help with the swelling and many other goodies to help along the healing process. The day of surgery I was very nervous and scared because this is obviously something that we do not want to go through again. Especially going in for a second surgery. However, Dr. Nima reassured me that he would be able to fix my nose and I will be very happy with the results. His team made sure I was comfortable and dr Nima talking to me for a few minutes before surgery made me feel at ease. The surgery overall took 7 hour. He doesn’t rush his work which is another reason why I decided to have my surgery done by him.
I am now 6 months post op. There have been a lot of changes. At first my nose was very swollen and I had many up and down days. There are still changes, my nose looks different some days. Other days I see some flaws, but it’s all part of the healing process and I hope to have a good result at the end.

Thank you for clarifying. I’m going to reach out to him. Your before photos look like mine. I’m one year post primary and I need a revision for collapsed valves. I’m so sad and no longer trust my original surgeon. You are giving me Hope. Thank you again

Any updates after continuing healing? Are you still happy and do you recommend him?

Did you request that he adds width to the frontal bridge and ask for a straight profile as it was lightly curved prior?
