I Wish I Could Give 10+ Stars.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Oakley Smith and his entire surgical team, especially Beena and Dr. Abdulraham.
After experiencing a very traumatic and unexpected outcome following two surgeries performed by another surgeon, I knew I needed someone with exceptional reconstructive expertise. I reached out to three highly regarded plastic surgeons before finding Dr. Smith, but none of them would even see me or consider taking my case. My situation was extremely complex, and I was beginning to lose hope that I would find someone willing to help me.
Then I found Dr. Oakley Smith.
What began as a small septal perforation and saddle nose deformity following my first surgery, something I was told occurs in approximately 1% of patients, progressed to approximately 2 cm after my second surgery and ultimately to a 3 cm perforation associated with necrosis and significant tissue damage. By the time I found Dr. Smith, I was dealing with an extraordinarily complex reconstructive situation, extensive scar tissue, and significant structural damage.
Dr. Smith took on a case that very few surgeons would have been willing to tackle. From my first consultation, I knew I was in very different hands. He truly listened to me and showed genuine empathy and compassion. He took the time to understand not only the physical complications I was dealing with, but also how deeply they had affected me emotionally. I never felt rushed during my consultations or follow-up appointments. He always gave me the time and attention I needed and made sure all of my questions were answered.
As a double board-certified plastic surgeon, highly skilled rhinoplasty and reconstructive surgeon, and incredibly talented artist, his knowledge and technical expertise are remarkable. A true master of his craft. What impressed me just as much, however, was his humility. Despite his credentials and expertise, there was never any arrogance. He was kind, approachable, honest, and incredibly compassionate.
Dr. Smith also gave me something extremely important: realistic expectations. He never made promises he couldn’t keep. He was completely honest about the complexity of my case, the extensive scar tissue, and the challenges involved. I understood that there was approximately a 40% chance of complete success.
Although we did not achieve complete internal closure, the improvements have been incredibly meaningful. Dr. Smith improved the internal structure of my nose and, most importantly, I am no longer experiencing the constant post-nasal dripping and whistling that had become part of my daily life, and I am sleeping again.
He has also helped restore something I had lost along the way: my confidence in my appearance. Although I am still very much in the healing phase, I couldn’t be happier.
I am incredibly grateful that Dr. Smith was willing to take on my case when others would not. He didn’t simply see an extremely complicated surgical problem. He saw me, listened to what I had been through, and genuinely wanted to help.
I also cannot say enough about Dr. Smith’s entire surgical team, including Beena and Dr. Abdulraham. They have all been wonderful throughout this journey. Their kindness, compassion, professionalism, and genuine care made an incredibly difficult, traumatic, and emotional experience so much easier. I always felt supported, heard, and cared for.
Finding Dr. Smith and his team has been one of the most important turning points in my journey. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been placed in the hands of a team with not only extraordinary surgical skill, but also integrity, humility, compassion, and humanity.
If you are facing a complex reconstructive situation or are simply looking to have rhinoplasty surgery, I cannot recommend Dr. Smith and his entire team highly enough.
