It’s hard for me to not be too critical and actually see positive results, but when i do a side-by-side. I can really tell the difference!! I am still very swollen, but i Think when I’m all healed, I’m going to LOVE the result. So glad I went with this doctor and glad I decided to take the risk and have surgery. Now I’m just wishing I would’ve done it 10 years ago!

Day 4!! Yesterday was rough. I Felt like my face came in contact with a moving semi. .
Yesterday my eyes were so swollen and bruised and the pressure was not comfortable. Today the swelling has gone down a lot and the bruising is turning yellow. Just trying to be patient each day. It’s too hard to tell with the cast and all of the bandages how the actual nose looks.. The profile looks good, but again, it’s just too hard to tell. I keep thinking it’s super crooked & weird looking, but the doctor said definitely don’t try to judge it until some of the swelling goes down. Patience will be the hardest part now.

Had my rhinoplasty revision today with Dr. Cochran in Dallas Texas. So far, so good!! Honestly, my ear hurts more than my nose from where they took the cartilage graft
I had two rhinoplasties many years ago! My nose seemed to have been changing over the last few years, so i decided to take the plunge and get it fixed. I was TERRIFIED after having the first two that weren’t good. Seemed like my nose wasn’t ever “supported” when they did the original surgeries. It dipped at the end and i had a “ball” look at the end of my nose. It was so crooked and nostrils were not even. Plus I had discoloration at the end. I have been SCARED to death and questioning my decision, but glad I did!! It’s only been several hours, so I’ll update more later in the weeks to come...

Wanted to ask about the discoloration on the tip of your nose. I have the same thing. Ive been told it was because of lost blood supply to tip during rhinoplasty. Is this what yours looked like and how did the doctor fix the discoloration? Thanks

Yes! I was told the exact same thing as why it was discolored. The Doctor Who did my surgery was not sure how it would be after. Said he did not expect it to get worse, however, that’s probably been the best thing about the surgery!!
Its it’s not like it was before. I literally used to spend 10 or 15 minutes trying to cover it up. I had so many different color cover sticks and was so insecure about the color. And it showing. I don’t even have to worry about it anymore. He really didn’t do anything to fix it, whatever was done in the surgery made it look better! in the color is just better. He didn’t have any real answer that he did anything to fix the coloring. I think because of the original surgery, the skin was so thin and being pulled so tight, that it made the discoloration worse. So much better not having to be embarrassed with a “blue” nose.
