Revision rhinoplasty with Dr Davis in Miramar FL

So I had revision rhinoplasty recently! The first week recovery was pretty tough because u have to keep ice on ur face almost 24/7 and I was having pain in my upper front teeth/gum area from the septal work. I iced a lottt and had no Bruising or swelling on my cheeks/face:) Sleeping upright all the time started hurting my behind and legs lol.. also didn’t help that my air bnb bed was not that comfy. Elevated sleeping and ice really do help with swelling!! Dr Davis lengthened and projected my nose he also bought my nostrils down. We agreed to not touch my bridge but during surg he made the right side more outwards because he said it was caving in making bridge look crooked and affecting my breathing. I really wish he hadn’t because my right side breathing was totally fine and I did not want a wider bridge at all. Anyways, had cast removed and I was and still am soooo swollen my tip looks like an avatar or smurf haha. I loveee my side profile and 3/4 angle view!! My front view and base view scare me because it’s widee but I know and hope it’s just the swelling and will go down!!! My upper lip got shorter like before surgery cuz of the length so I’m happy about that! He only used septum cartilage because I had enough since I didn’t have a septoplasty during my primary.. thank god!!! My side and angle view look almost identical to my birth nose but front and base view r wide and blobby:( mind you I’m only about 11 days post op!! I did tell davis I wanted a fuller infratip and showed him plenty of pics of my birth nose but I hope he didn’t take the infratip fullness too far becasue it’s super bulbous right now. My natural nose was tiny bit full/bulbousish tip but narrow from Nostrils and bridge it suited me!! and I wanted a bit of that back but have too much right now lol.. stupid swelling! My nostril retraction and shorter nose defs got fixed though so I’m happy about that! Will keep u posted on more

It sucks so bad that I’m paying soooOo much for something that I already had naturally. You really don’t know what u have until it’s gone. The last year has been hard filled with regret and depression. I have to stay positive though and have faith that I will look more like myself after revision. I don’t get why doctors thing curved in bridges and turned up small noses are soo attractive when they are sooo not and totally outdated! Even though I asked for nose to be smaller a surgeon should always preserve ones ethnicity and look at facial height/width. A short small nose wont look good on someone with long face and vice versa. I wish doctors told u that taking down a small hump will make the bridge appear wider ughhh! Anyways I’m jus venting, in my next post I’ll talk about which doctors I consulted with and how I felt about them.

Hi I’m a 25yr old female from Seattle. I’m going to have revision next month with dr Davis. I’ve seen multiple revision surgeons and Dr Davis spent the most time explaining everything to me and I felt the most comfortable with him. I had my primary rhino a year ago and the doctor shortened and deprojected it to much for my liking. He made my bulbous tip smaller and now my nostrils are more flared/thicker and more visible. I had a small bump taken down on my bridge and I hate how it now looks flatter and wider in pics although looks fine in person. My bridge isn’t my biggest concern it’s my tip/nostrils. I’m trying to get closer to my old nose but obviously can’t have it back 100%. I need length/derotation, projection, and I want to make my infratip Lobule fuller. I want my stronger nose back! I liked the simulation Davis made for me for profile view but didn’t like the front so I will show him mine at our next meeting which will be 1-2 days before surgery to go over everything. My nose isn’t botched but it doesn’t suit my face my nose turned up too much and columella too tucked up that my upper lip looks longer to. Will keep u guys posted
