Dr. Cochran is really wonderful

Amazing Rhinoplasty Surgeon!

WORTH IT$12,000

Dr. Cochran is a fantastic, experienced surgeon with an amazingly humble and incredible bedside manner. Dr. Cochran performed a very difficult rhinoplasty revision on my wife 10 years ago, and the results were aesthetically phenomenal and looked like the nose she could have been born with; so natural and beautiful.

After her great results and experience with Dr. Cochran, I decided to make the time to address my nose and a deviated septum and crooked nose from previous sports injuries, coupled with a fairly prominent bulbous tip. I consider Dr. Cochran to be especially great at the tip of noses; perhaps one of the best in the Country.

I am three months into the recovery process with my nose revision, and the recovery process is and aesthetics are already greatly improved. I too had a previous rhinoplasty that like my wife at the same time about 11 years ago. The other surgeon's results were not very noticeable; almost as if not much had been done to the nose. It looked about the same after a full three years.

Dr. Cochran performed an equally as great of a rhinoplasty on myself as my wife. Dr. Cochran ONLY PERFORMS RHINOPLASTY procedures. He is not distracted by all the other procedures other surgeons perform, which makes him a true specialist in this area and is something anyone considering nasal revision should strongly consider. He is a perfectionist too. I hope this helps, and good luck with your rhinoplasty.

My wife and I are now ages 47 and 50 respectively. We wish we could have found Dr. Cochran initially and not had to endure revisions. Getting it right the first time is a much easier process. Dr. Cochran is really wonderful and you will have a great experience, as he genuinely cares about each patient and their goals.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Would you be willing to post some before and after photos?

Yes, absolutely. I plan on posting some before and after pics at or around the 4 month mark / post-op. My tip is still a little swollen for the moment and I am told it is the last part of the nose to settle in to it's new shape / form and tighten up. As for now, most of my swelling has dissipated around the bridge as I am currently three months into my recovery. I look forward to posting some images when my nose has had a little more time for the swelling to go down. Due to this being a revision rhinoplasty, it can often take a bit longer for full healing and final results to be seen; often up to one year or more depending on the patient, former procedures and thickness of skin etc. For those reasons and my age (50), I want to give a good representation of Dr. Cochran's work by posting pics when I am further along. He is amazing and I think you will agree that he is very talented and a gifted surgeon. Thank you!

Thank you, I'm in my 50's & in TX too...I need a revision and your case description sounds like me! This surgeon sounds like a candidate...I am surprised at the revision cost for you, as my original surgery cost me 13k, I had heard that revisions are more expensive. Is there a consult charge?

Hi, The revision cost is comparable to my original surgery as well. I thought that was reasonable, especially considering that my wife had such a great revision surgery performed by Dr. Cochran. There was a consultation fee prior to my surgery. I believe the cost was about $200-$250. That fee was reimbursed towards the cost of my surgery however. Good luck with your procedure and my apologies for the slow response. I just happened to visit the site and saw some comments. All the best!

I greatly appreciate you sharing your and your wife's experiences! Thank you! A plastic surgeon who specializes in noses and is not distracted by other surgeries?!? Who knew?! Did either you or your wife require adding cartilage to your nose for your revision?

I need to find my a second revision doctor. What you say about Dr. Cochran ONLY PERFORMING RHINOPLASTIES is so important to note! My nose was mangled by a plastic surgeon who "does faces only". He didn't straighten my septum and instead made it more crooked until my nose collapsed. Then I had a revision by an ENT who is also a "faces only" plastic surgeon. That was a completely disgusting joke, too! My nose required a lot of cartilage added back in, but somehow this guy made my nose shorter down my face, under projected, wider and bigger at the end than my original nose. After 8+ years in practice, he still hasn't perfected his suture technique, because the incision edges where not matched up properly from the start. The incision was closed at an angle so my nostrils are misshapen. Of course I now have an ugly scar that you can see in each nostril, on my columella. I still can't breathe correctly. My nose looks totally dumb, so so does my face. I do not yet know how long I'll have to wait before I can get my third nose surgery. The columella incision is one of the smallest incisions made on the face during plastic surgery. If you can't get the columella incision edges aligned properly, straight, and sutured properly...shouldn't that be the easiest of an open rhinoplasty to perfect?

I looked at Dr. Cochran's website. He does absolutely outstanding work! A very high percentage of the revision's he's done are miraculously straight! Imagine that!? A straight nose and an attractive nose after a septoplasty and rhinoplasty. Isn't that the exact purpose of each surgery, anyway?

It is good to see your message and trust me, you are not alone. After my first rhinoplasty performed by a surgeon in Houston "Specializing in Revision Rhinoplasty"... I figured that if he can correct work by other doctors, then certainly he can do an outstanding job with a first-time rhinoplasty... My wife and I were wrong. We both ended up with so much less than desirable outcomes. My nose was almost undetectable that any procedure had been performed. My wife's nose was simply a mess and I felt horrible for her. Thank goodness we opted to have my wife's nose re-done by Dr. Cochran. It really turned out amazing. She had a rather prominent hump on her nose and a tip that was not as soft in appearance, due to the underlying cartilage being very visible with skin that did not drape well. Her nose came out incredible. I am still healing, but will tell you that my nose is perfectly straight and my breathing is improved at 6 months post-op by 20-30 percent. (That alone has been a game changer). No cartilage was used for my revision, or that of my wife. I am a former motocross racer with a lot of scar tissue according to Dr. Cochran. He indicated that my nose was fairly difficult, but I am very happy with the improvement. My nose veered off to one side somewhat and is now perfectly straight. My tip is still a bit swollen and pretty hard at 6 months. I am 50 years old however and had a fairly prominent bulbous tip that was corrected by Dr. C. as well. I wish I had had my surgery when my wife did. (10 years ago). I put it off for too long, but am very happy to have done it in December of 2019. Wishing you all the best with your procedure and outcome.
