Amazing Results- Revision Rhinoplasty
I don't know if my review will do Dr. Rosenberg justice. The results exceeded my expectation.
To say that my nose was a complex situation was an understatement. At a young age I broke my nose and did not get it fixed. In my adult years I had chronic sinus infections, removing two turbinates. I then wanted to have my broken nose (childhood injury) aesthetically fixed. After 2 surgeries, I was left with a saddle nose and an upturned tip, not to mention a septal hematoma after the 1st surgery that compromised my septum. My nose went from complex to really complex.
5 years passed since the last surgery and I decided I would give it one last shot. Dr. Rosenberg came highly recommended and was described as being "THE BEST". I was excited to get the nose I always wanted, but I was very nervous about having another surgery. I consulted with a number of surgeons that specialize in revision rhinoplasty. Almost all of them said they would not touch my nose, way to complex and risky.
I made an appointment with Dr. Rosenberg and waited 3 months to see him. Then the moment I had been waiting for, the day of my consultation. He looked at my nose, reviewed all materials (past operative reports, history, etc) and said, "I can fix this, I can make this look good and I may even be able to make it look amazing". I remember looking at him with a questionable look. Amazing, I would be happy with straight.
I booked my surgery and waited another 3 months for the really big day. On the really big day, I was met by a member of his nursing staff and his anesthesiologist. Both were great at making me feel confident and at ease prior to surgery. My surgery lasted 4 hours. The full scope of what needed to be done was explained. To oversimplify, he needed to rebuild the bridge and tip of my nose, using ear and rib cartilage, without compromising the delicate structure that currently existed.
After surgery I had no bruising and minimal swelling. 6 days after surgery I had the cast removed. The results immediately after the cast removal were jaw dropping. I could not believe how straight and refined my nose looked. It looked as if nothing was ever done to it. It looked like the nose that I was meant to have, that tied together my facial features.
I am now 5 weeks out and as the swelling continues to subside, the results are better than I could've imagined.
When you have multiple surgeries and the result are not as good as you expected, you sometimes feel that the desired result are unattainable. I felt the same way, until Dr. Rosenberg.
In my experience, he truly is the best at what he does. His attention to detail is magnificent. His level of skill in a complex situation (that others would not consider) is unparalleled. His confidence is infectious, his presence is calming and his staff runs like a well oiled machine.
His nurse practitioner, Monica is amazing at what she does. She held my virtual hand from the initial consultation until today, answering all of my questions (via phone or email) and putting my mind at ease.
My overall experience was exceptional. I would highly recommend Dr. David Rosenberg and his staff.
